Guest guest
I know amitriptyline (Ellavil?) isn't an SSRI/SSNRI - it's a tricyclic - right? Does anyone know whether the " old school " AD's cause similar side effects? This is the drug my quack prescribed for me instead of figuring out I have sleep apnea. He had me take one before bedtime - I was out within 30 minutes - but still woke up 10-12 times a night due to my sleep apnea. I felt awful and kept having to take stronger doses after I'd build up a resistance over a few months. When we hit 125 mg/night and he said we'd eventually have to take me off for a few months so my resistance would lower, I said " no more. " I went to a sleep specialist and have been sleeping great ever since. NO DRUGS!
