MESSAGE FROM THE MODERATORS

Dear list members,

I would like to remind everyone here that off topic conversations are

acceptable, but at time are excessive. As we near the 200 count of membership,

the quantity of mail gets overwhelming for many members. We have to ask that

off topic conversations be taken to the chat room. It is very easy to use,

but you have to arrange to chat with someone or you will be sitting there alone.

I think once the chat room is used more often, we will go there and find others.

We have members with varying degrees of health related problems, and have to be

considerate of everyone. Please mark off topic conversations with OT in the

subject line so that those only looking for RA support know to delete it. If

the subject gets back on topic, remember to change the subject line. Since RA

is a disease that almost always has hand involvement, it is not easy for many

people here to weed through all the mail not pertaining to arthritis. I am

looking forward to scheduling regular chats, and maybe we'll even include a

" girls only " chat so we can discuss thongs at a greater length.

It would also help if we deleted the post you are responding to. Leave enough

of the post so that we understand what you are replying to, but cut out all the

rest. If anyone needs lessons on cutting or pasting, contact me privately and

I can explain it to you. You would be surprised at how many people don't know

how to cut and paste. There are many people new to email, and I will

privately answer anyone's questions.

What makes this the best support group on the Internet is the genuine love,

compassion and consideration we all show for one another.
