Parking Spaces

Speaking of parking spaces. At Christmas time it is a bugger! Because

everyone comes out of the woodwork to do their shopping. And yeah, even us

physically challenged people like to get gifts for our friends and loved

ones. But are there any spaces for us to park? No. All of the very few set

aside for us are gone. And it takes us 30 minutes to get into the store while

we wait for someone to leave the store and stalk them hoping they are parked

nearby. In a way, to me, it is discrimination against the handicapped when

they have so few handicapped parking. We aren't a minority! How come all the

" normal " people, so to speak, get so many places to park? And then they park

in our spots and say it's only for a minute. A BLAH on them! The &

Noble by me has handicap parking, but guess what? They are clear around the

side of the building and a rather long walk for anyone who use a cane. They

figure if we are handicapped, we must be in a wheelchair and that shouldn't

be a problem for us pain wise since we are sitting, but what about those who

still walk with the use of a cane? Or the people with heart problems. The

normal spaces are closer to the door than the handicap ones at this book

store.

Sorry for my out burst! =-/
