Guest guest
Note: feel free to forward. We are participating in the April 17-18 Wellness Expo in , Texas to raise awareness of our websites and activities and also to raise money for The Indiana Star Foundation. There will be over 1600 attendees at this two-day event attended by health-conscious people in the Dallas / Fort Worth Area. If you live in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and are interested in attending or volunteering to help man the booth, please let me know. We get a few free tickets with our registration fee. Also if you want to send in a stack of business cards or other literature for your website or business send me an email... I would like to collect any donations that I can to recoup the costs of the booth and some of the business cards and banners. The booth costs $239. So I hope to raise enough before the event to recoup that. All donations at the event will go directly to The Indiana Star Foundation regardless of whether I recoup costs for the booth and supplies. Donations can be made here: http://pledgie.com/campaigns/6067 or you can mail me a personal check. If you would like to mail a check or contribute an item for sale to benefit the fundraiser, email me and I will send you my home address. (Note, we don't have 501c3 status but The Indiana Star Foundation eventually will be a registered 501c3.) If you make a donation online please put a note in the memo line that it is for The Indiana Star Foundation or the Wellness Expo.I am very excited because we will have some great literature to hand out from UNITE / MANDAP and The Indiana Star Foundation, and we will be taking donations for the foundation, so all around it will be a great opportunity for awareness. I will also collect names and cards from people we meet who would like to sign up on our member listservs, to help with our cause, or sign our petition, etc. I may also take my laptop so we can show people our YouTube videos. We will have hand stamping, free post cards, business cards, and I would really like to get a few craft items either hand made or donated to sell as well for the fund raiser. Ideas for that would be books on our topics, small paintings, hand-made items, ornaments, infant clothes, baby blankets and quilts, jewelry, stationery, and decorative home items. There is also a door prize drawing at the fair, so if someone wants to promote their business by donating a gift certificate or an item from your business let me know and I can get it into the Wellness Expo's drawing. Most of the items I got from Vista Print were free but I did spend about $100 on premium business cards and customizable banners. For example, these brochures were free (25 of them) and I hope to reorder more free ones when VistaPrint has another promo.Outside Inside Sincerely,Amy Philo214-705-0169 home817-793-8028 cellJoin the Coalition!
