The Shakespeare Theatre's moving production of this play provides us with a perfect opportunity to honor modern-day whistleblowers and civil rights activists. This performance honors prominent whistleblowers and activists, including, EPA whistleblower Dr. Marsha -Adebayo, who blew the whistle on the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of International Activities when she raised concerns about the health effects of mining operations by a U.S. chemical company in South Africa; NIH whistleblower Dr. Fishbein, who exposed a series of unethical and improper medical problems within the NIH's drug safety clinical trials program; Bunnatine -Greenhouse, Former Chief Civilian Contracting Official for the US Army Corps of Engineers , who blew the whistle on improprieties on the multi-billion dollar " no-bid " contract obtained by Halliburton to rebuild Iraq; Former Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal, Fogg, who successfully fought the U.S. Department of Justice in a landmark federal discrimination case; Rev. Walter Fauntroy, Civil Rights leader and Congressman who founded the Free South Africa Movement which proved instrumental in the dismantling of the racist apartheid regime in 1994; Dr. Westrick, who blew the whistle on defective bullet-proof vests that were sold to law enforcement officers across the country and internationally; Zena D. Crenshaw, President of National Judicial Conduct and Disability Law Project, Inc., and one of the few licensed attorneys to blow the whistle on apparent judicial misconduct. Sponsored by: The No FEAR Institute http://www.nofearinstitute.org/index.htm The Institute is dedicated to educating the public, eliminating racial discrimination and worker abuse in Federal agencies. No Fear Coalition members are committed to winning discrimination battles in all federal agencies. The No Fear Institute empowers individuals with the knowledge that they not alone when they report abusive and Discriminatory behavior. The National Whistleblower Center http://www.whistleblowers.org/ The primary goal of the Center is to ensure that disclosures about government, corporate or industry actions that violate the law or harm the environment are fully heard, and that the whistleblowers who risk their careers to expose wrongdoing are defended. The Center's mission is to strengthen the rights of whistleblowers and to help make their underlying claims known to the public in order to safeguard the welfare of the American people by assuring the " FREEDOM TO TELL THE TRUTH " .
