Guest guest
Thanks Cassandra for a very good, clear explanation. I believe there is talk of some test being made available in future to test who could be at risk for suicide ideation? Sadly, the average person in the street may then be totally re-assured and assume that provided they're not going to kill themselves whilst taking an SSRI,it must be is an intelligent option. We know better, don't we? There is absolutely no doubt that not everyone becomes suicidal or homicidal on Prozac. That is sadly, why it took so much effort ,and so many tragedies to prove the link. Just like not everyone becomes suicidal or filled with rage on alcohol! Does that mean that drinking is an intelligent way of dealing with our problems? Innocent? What about the effects on alcohol in general on health? The addiction potential? The potential to destroy lives? Are they going to come out with a test to determine addiction risks as well? Or pathological brain damage, nerve damage, liver, stomach, diabetes risks, obesity, emotional blunting, de-motivation, birth defects, miscarriages, road safety concerns etc.etc.etc.For suicide is not the only way SSRI'S can kill or destroy. It's merely the quickest...They SUCK! No matter HOW you look at it or try to justify use. It makes no sense! Sure it's not just the placebo effect helping? You'd benefit much more from doing a hair analysis test to determine mineral deficiencies or heavy metal toxicity. Or a decent live blood analysis test. No THAT makes sense! Even if you are depressed due to a specific reason ie. grief, broken heart, stress or whatever,it won't harm you to check your mineral levels, as we all know stress can deplete the B-Vitamins for instance. Obviously we need to deal with those emotions via counselling ,or EFT, because the mind's power over the body is ENORMOUS, and it works in the opposite direction as well! The absolute LAST thing you need is a " meds " that leaches MORE minerals etc from your body by blocking absorption etc.Clearly you'll end up in a far worse state of health than before, how could this possibly be intelligent? I can't even get myself to call SSRI's medicines anymore. Medicine... " Science of preventing, treating and curing disease. " CURING??? I just don't see it. Applicable to anything that Big Pharma concocts for that matter. Steph > > > > (Incidentally - We now have this answer...
