Once again, as with B.J., contacting the " proper authorities " as the Black Box

now warns us to do is inadequate because these people don't know their a**es

from holes in the ground. They do not accept the bases of our arguments which

are that the drugs are causing the problems and that once people fall into the

" spiral of destruction " they can not see their way out, even with the caring and

help of their friends and families.

" , 44, was a social worker at Atascadero State Hospital who

had called police for help Sunday because he believed he might injure himself.

He was taken to and confined in the county's Psychiatric Health Facility in San

Obispo about 8:25 p.m., and was pronounced dead at French Hospital Medical

Center at 3 p.m. the next day.

Friends and co-workers have questioned whether was adequately

supervised to prevent him from hurting himself. "

" had struggled with depression, his brother said, but the two

never discussed it at length. "

I know that getting the crap out of the body will bring the person back to

themselves. If the drug causes the problem then the removal of the drug

should damn well correct the insanity. Physical damage is another thing. I

would say that anyone in the throws of drug induced insanity should be

stayed with 24 hours a day until the drug is out of the system. Sauna and

exercise should speed that up. Anything less is mistreatment.
