Guest guest
Hello all, Why can't we just get rid of these SSRI's? Everywhere I turn, they are offering me SSRI's as if they were candy. I just had surgery. I had a hysterectomy. The first thing my doctor's office did was to offer me Effexor to help with the side effects of a surgical menopause. I am going to see a cardiologist and all's I can see in his office is signs for the use of anti-depressants. As well as other cardiac drugs. I suffer from horrendous anxiety and panic attacks. I have lived through the nightmare of getting off of these drugs. And also the nightmare of just being on them. Just recently, I've had enough nerve to see a psychiatrist who told me that if I don't take an antidepressant it would be considered sub-standard care. Can you imagine this? It is just beyond my comprehension. And this is after I told him about my nightmare with the SRRI drugs. What is the world coming to? And it just burns me to no end that the first people they go to with these garbage drugs are women. It's the 'cure all' for everything apparently from menopausal symtpoms to PMS to post partum depression. Never mind looking into the fact that women suffer terribly from hormonal imbalances on a regular basis. The whole affair is just too sick to imagine and so unfair. When is this all going to end? When are we going to be able to prove that these drugs are completely dangerous to us all!! When???? Hugs, Nuala
