Guest guest
I know there's one at www.petitiononline.com/effexor with about 11,000 signatures. I've been trying to think of what I can do, too. In my boyfriend's case, a physician assistant for a family doctor was the idiot passing this stuff out without the slightest understanding of what it was. Pharmaceutical reps are hired by the big companies and they visits these clinic handing out sample packs and sales information. They are _salesmen_ for God's sake. Of course what they say about any drug will be flattering. And your average MD has no mental health experience or understanding whatsoever. I'm thinking if even on a state level, it became illegal for general practioners to be able to prescribe psychotropic drugs, that would help. I read that something like 70% of all antidepressant prescriptions are coming from family docs, but I don't know where that number came from or how accurate it is. > > > > > > > > In my experience, my husband's personality changed while on > > > Zoloft, he > > > > became irrational and his perspectives were skewed, he quit > cold > > > turkey and > > > > although he suffered physical withdrawal symptoms for a long > > time, > > > his > > > > personality returned to normal almost immediately. > > > > Months later he went on Paxil and his personality changed > again, > > > only worse, > > > > to the point of being psychotic and violent.
