Petty Deletions, Et Cetera

You guys would have been proud of me- I wrote a beautiful reply to the

schizophrenia.com site's backers. It was quite a considered response to

what they were saying, and I thought it sounded really good. I was watching

and watching the site for a reply, but, silly me, I didn't keep a copy of

it, which is sad, because it took a while to write. The site's moderators

deleted the entire thread that it appeared in, lock, stock, and barrel, and

also didn't reply. So I wrote them the following at the site, which will no

doubt be removed, too. I basically said earlier that people diagnosed with

schizophrenia are not children, and they can make their own decisions about

medication and lack of it. I also said that I knew people who were on

medication and doing well, but knew three people who are completely well

individuals that didn't take any medicine. I mentioned Loren Mosher, as

well as the successes despite a lack of medication in India.

I told them that the original news that I posted about zyprexa was not a

duplicate posting of the New York Times article, as they claimed, and that

it should be allowed to stay on the site on those grounds.

I can't believe that they just deleted everything again. Its so frustrating

to think that when people google 'schizophrenia' the first thing that they

are going to come up with is that site. only appear after a

tremendous search. So that's what people are going to get. All of us on

these groups have so much courage. I really appreciate all of the support

when I posted my first message on this topic earlier.

I am so incredibly saddened that you would choose to delete my considered

response to the first, original deletion of my post. It makes me surmise

that what I had wrote must have been viewed as somehow threatening to you or

to this site's financial backers in some way.

I didn't think I would need to keep a copy of my note (as it was posted here

on an open forum), and would really like it for personal reasons. So if you

still have my words archived somewhere, could I please have them back?

Background for others: I spent a great deal of time crafting my response in

order to make it balanced and fair, and instead of an honest discussion (or

answer) regarding my justification for the original posting, the moderator

quickly removed it. I felt that this was disrespectful and very heavy

handed.
