June, this really moved me. It is so encouraging to read a post such as this.

The girl you speak of has such will and determination, and it is such a blessing

to see this in one with so many problems. The Patient Partners sounds like such

a special group, and I am sure they feel the same way about you. You are all

very special to share your time and knowledge with others. Thanks for sharing

this with us.

Hi gang,I think I would have to say it was the wonderful group of

Patient Partners with whom I teach. Some of them have many different

immune diseases,they use walkers,crutches and even wheelchairs but most

of them show up for every session. One of the girls who is in her early

50's is a sweet and charming lady who also suffers from anorexia as well

as RA. She just recently had it spread to her lungs. She is about 5'7 "

and probably weighs about the same as me(97lbs). She says I make her

laugh everytime she sees me. I feel so bad for her and yet she struggles

to attend every meeting and teaches at least once a week. How could I

not be inspired by people who devote their time to others in a way that

can only benefit all the RA sufferers who will see the doctors we are

teaching in the future.

Happy New Year to everyone and I send my Best Wishes that the year 2001

will bring happiness and improved health.
