Guest guest
Hello Rainy Sue, The first seven months or so after I was diagnosed with RA, I was so disabled and nothing was helping. About all I could do was read, so I read everything I could find on RA. Some information seemed to come up over and over. One was that omega 3 fish oil helps and the other was that citrus fruit acid get involved with the joints. On the other hand, some things I read were so unusual and never came up again. The most memorable was a book that talked about an area in China where many of the children -- I believe 50% -- were coming down with JRA. Evidently the soil was depleted of natural sulfur. Crops had not been rotated or some such thing. This was interesting since Coburn was on the news about that time saying how much MSM had helped him (MSM is sulfur). Another book written in the 30s by a physician who used hot mustard packs on the swollen hands of his RA patients was interesting. The doctor said it would cause sores and the toxins would drain out and the hands go back to normal. He said it had worked on many of his patients. Even though my hands looked like boxing gloves at the time, I didn't rush out and try mustard packs! I just take all the information with a grain of salt and try to piece it all together. I am sick right now from eating a piece of chocolate pie yesterday -- my gut, not the RA. Anyone who knows sugar will do them in and still dives in deserves to hurt like I do today. Soon I will forget and be right back into the sugar " bowl " again! A few houses up the street from me there grows the most beautiful navel orange tree -- my favorite type of orange. It is all I can do not to grab a few each time I walk by. They are big and fat and perfectly ripe! With all the Rose Parade visitors from all over the country camped all over, the tree will probably be picked clean in a couple of days. Hope no one gets shot! (Years ago I lived in Tujunga, CA and a man shot a kid who picked a pomegranate (sp) off his tree and then killed himself). Remembering that incident keeps my paws off the navel oranges! Happy New Year! Patsy -----Original Message----- From: Rysu19@... [mailto:Rysu19@...] Sent: Saturday, December 30, 2000 10:51 AM egroups Subject: [ ] ~Oranges.. Thank you, Patsy. That is sad. I LOVE oranges. I haven't noticed anything different when eating them, so I will continue to do so. I eat about 2 at a time. =) Yummy! ~Rainy Sue > This is what the post said: > > > Those oranges from Florida are the best.
