Guest guest
from new member cpeplow1@... Thank you for adding me to your group. I was amazed at the dangers involved in using SSRIs! I wondered if you had any information available dealing specifically with risks/benefits involved in using these drugs to treat severe pms or pmdd in women. Also, do you have any suggestions as to articles that deal with safer ways to treat these problems? I would appreciate any information that you can pass on. Thank you! cpeplow

Guest guest
I found a book that I have been reading " Hormones, Health, and Happiness " by F. Hotze, M.D. Many case studies and all natural treatments make this a very interesting book to me. I have heard there is a copper serum dump into the female system around PMS and that might somehow play into the large psychiatric population of pari-menapausal women. (pari- meaning " around " ). If women normally dump excess copper during their menstrial cycle and then that starts to change or stop then I guess the theory would be that the copper sticks around and bingo you have lots of psych patients. Excessive copper can create symptoms that appear to be psychiatric in nature. check out 's Disease. http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/ency/wilson_disease.jsp " About one third of all patients with disease have a variety of psychiatric symptoms as the first signs of the disease. These symptoms include inability to cope, depression, irritability, increased anger, and inappropriate behavior. Often times patients have trouble completing tasks at work or in school. " If the same thing is happening to women in the pari-menapausal phase of life it would explain some of the high statistics of ECT being administered to women. 2/3's of shock patients are pari-menapausal women in Texas. Jim info on pms and pmdd I found a good liquid mineral supplement that really helps me. From what I understand PMS is related to adrenal fatigue.
