Guest guest Posted November 12, 2006 Report Share Posted November 12, 2006 http://archpsyc.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/37/3/247 not several, just this one, well involving REM and humans anyway, there was a lab experiment done about total sleep deprivation (TSD) but that one also included medication, this lab experiment deprived REM sleep on days 1, 3, and 5, participants were then allowed to sleep during the night of days 2, 4, and 6, this study indicates that the brief REM sleep deprivation reset the sleep cycle so that REM was improved during recuperative recovery sleep, SSRI induced REM deprivation doesn't give you any days off, your sleep is screwed up for a very very long time, every single day, this study was done 26 years ago, and 8½ years before the first SSRI even hit the market, SSRIs saturate the cells and tissues of your body over time, that's why doctors tell you not to expect them to begin working until you have taken them for six to eight weeks, and then trying to purge them out of your system, well I quit my meds last thanksgiving cold turkey and still have PANES, I'm pretty sure SSRIs caused permanent damage Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
