Hi June:

Yes, liver biopsies are horrible; even with anestheics and other drugs. You

are awake but somewhat croggy but can feel everything. I said by the third

time they had to try for a specimen, I was in tears. They stick a needle

through your belly and grab a piece of your liver. It is done in radiology

so they can see what they are doing on a screen. I thought I would have

nightmares last night but instead I dreamed of a camping trip which was

pretty nice. They are not sure at this point why the enzymes are elevating.

They are thinking something else might be going on. My rheumie is dropping

it all in the specialist's hands. He is totally befuddled. Ed and I are

exhausted from all that has been and continues to go on. We cannot take our

trip to Atlanta now either because of finances. It is such a disappointment.

We had our savings up there but property taxes came and ate most of our

savings up. I would swear here but it is not appropriate. Anyway, that is

the scoop. I told you guys, hang around and there would be more news by the

end of day and there was.

I hope the new drug you go on does not cause you any liver problems. Don't

you just hate that when it happens? Have a good night.

Tonight is actually the real full moon but yes, last night it was full too.

It does something awful sometimes. I have been at animal ERs in the middle

of the night too. It is the worst. My dog's kidneys stopped functioning and

she was barfing and barfing so at 5:00 am I had to take her in. This was

years and years ago. They gave her IV fluids and she got better.

Anyway, I hope you and kitties do much better. By Thursday the moon will be

weaning and things will start going better (I hope). Make sure you take care

of yourself as well as the cats. Without you, they have nothing. Blessings.

And something else... I wear jeans a lot. Winter time with sweaters.

Summer, with T's or shirts. And usually I wear a pair of white socks

with a pretty lacy top. (now this IS crazy!) When people get a glance,

they DO comment!

....Go back tomorrow and get you a pretty lacy bra and panties to wear to

your test.

Knock 'em out! Give 'em all something to go home and talk about!

I'm sorry I would need or tell the doc to knock me out! I could not handle

the pain let alone the thought of what they were doing. I feel for you

I did make them cover my eyes!!! Didn't help much but it was something.

They could at least have the courtesy to go through my naval where there is

already a hole but NO, they have to make a new one. Then, after it is done,

you have to lay on your stomach for several hours. That's fun too when your

stomach already hurts. Who ever made up these rules is a sadist.

Not weird at all. I like to do that too. In winter - its

fun to do color- cause it won't show through - but you

know your wearing it and it does make you feel special.

Try red or pink for Valentines day- with a secret smile

on the outside. I have all sorts of fun socks. I love

seasonal socks. Had real fun with them last winter

through summer when I had to wear those lousy TEDS sock

- I wore socks over them for kind of a fashion statement

- most people smile when they see them.

Body lotion sounds wonderful in this weather. Always

makes me feel good after a long hot shower.

Yesterday and today were lousy. I think there was a full

moon. We have evening hours on Monday. I came home to

find Clancy - my black Persian and first baby - throwing

up and having diarrhea. He never does that. Riley had

his turn last month. Long and short I ended up in a pet

emergency center at 12:30 in 2 degree temperatures-

didn't get to sleep until 2:30. He seems much better and

more comfortable tonight. I don't because- I then woke

up with chills and nausea myself at 4. I took some

tylenol and that helped the chills a little ( my teeth

were actually chattering). I stayed home from work. I

felt bad as I haven't been back a week and am already

taking sick time and today was my first case acceptance

back with my boss. Fortunately with my office they

understand sick pets - my boss was probably more

concerned about Clancy then me.

I am out of any pain meds but the tylenol but am going

to my rheumy on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed

Clancy and I are both better by then. I get to make

chicken and rice for him tonight- as part of his bland

diet. I'll probably cook more for he and Riley than I do

for myself.
