I'm relatively new to this forum, so I apologize if this is

information that's already been presented. On last night's episode of

" House " on FOX, the episode revolves around the mysterious

circumstances that lead one of House's patients to crash an ATV that

left him badly burned. They aren't able to ask the teenager any

questions because he's heavily sedated to relieve his pain. House and

team investigate the boy's medical history and check for any

biological causes for the seizure he had that lead to the crash. In

the end, House concludes the boy had the seizure as a result of taking

an anti-depressant to help him stop smoking. I'm sorry if the info's

a bit choppy, but I didn't see the entire show. Check out these

sights for episode synopses: episode title, " Distractions "

Good to see this kind of info being presented in the mainstream media,

especially a popular show like this one where info can disseminate

widely from.

Take care,

The antidepressant used for smoking cessation is Wellbutrin and

seizure is a common side effect of that drug. BTW, the SSRIs also

have seizure as a side effect.
