Guest guest
Well I did my grape thing for 3 full days and must say that I am going really good, in fact my pain is down ...way down, my hands are almost completely pain free and my feet feel so much better, still a bit tender. Not sure if it was the diet, the plaquenil(doubt it since I have only been on it 2 weeks) or the acupuncture, but I am glad to say that I am seeing these improvements. I will continue the acupuncture and the plaquenil and also try to eat healthy as possible, This grape diet made me realize how off track I had got with my diet, so it was a " wake up call " for sure. I am glad I did it as it taught me allot about self control too, and I think I am probably capable of a true cleansing fast and will try to do one soon. I don't think I could work though, I found myself mentally to be slow without eating regular meals, so as far as that goes I think when I have a few days in a row off work I might try a fast. My job just requires me to think and act fast and it is hard to do that when your hungry. I know Patty you have said you don't have that problem when you do your fasts but I found it to be the case for me, esp in a high stress job environment. Anyhow i have acupuncture again today and thursday this week and i am sure hoping that it will continue to help. The Dr that does it told me that we should really see improvements within 6 visits so I am again so hopeful that this will work for me. Anyhow I am off the coffee for good this time, and also trying to watch my sugar intake and doing lots of fresh juicing. Glad your back Patty! Guest guest
Hi , You probably have the hunger thing when fasting because your metabolism is probably way more stoked than mine with all the exercising you do. You might want to add some lemon juice and maple syrup to your water, and it will still be considered fasting. You can also drink all the herbal tea you want. Glad you've given up the coffee for good. Feels better, doesn't it? It is amazing how much better you feel when you are on a good clean diet. My husband makes me so proud...I swore I'd never see the day he'd be a vegetarian because he is a die hard hunter macho man, meat and potatoes kind of guy. But lo and behold, he'll take a salad over steak almost every time now. Even my teen is practically a vegetarian, and turns up his nose at hamburgers and junk food. Totally amazes me and makes me a proud mama. Keep up your good eating habits, and hopefully the pain will go away over time.
