Guest guest
Folks, here is some more data from a knowledgable contact. Thanks to Kate for bringing this data to my attention. Jim Dear Jim, Here's some data on nutritional handling for Post Partum Depression. I found a case in " The People's Guide to Vitamins and Minerals A to Zinc " about a woman who was abused by psychs with 8 shock treatments, psych drugs, isolation in a mental institution as handling for " Post Partum Depression " . Her family finally couldn't stand having her in isolation so they got her out. Upon lab work, blood analysis etc, it was that there was no detectable Folic Acid in her blood. When this was injected, she improved; upon further injections, she became normal and remained normal for years, and went back to school. Apparently, women who had already suffered from " psychiatric disorders " are more prone to suffer Post Partum Depression. But this is like saying that women who run deficient in certain nutrients, either due to bad diet or inherited deficienies or circumstances (like famine, poverty) and don't correct these deficienies during pregnancy, will be deficient after pregnancy and run into " medical insanity " . The above book and several of Adele ' books detail how B vitamin deficiency, especially B12 and Niacin, can cause violent insanity. Several vitamins, including B12, depend on Folic Acid. Alot of the research footnoted by Adele very thoroughly in her books was done by psychs in institutions. So it's not that psychs don't know this data, it's that's apparently suppressed. In fact, B12 and B1 deficiency are listed in basic medical books are reasons for medical insanity. Another case in Dominick's book is a young man who was institutionalized and given shock treatment and drugs for 2 years when it was found he had a severe B12 (Cobalamin) deficiency which, when given by injection or I.V., handled his insanity. There was some indication that the psychs already knew this when he was admitted. I have some more references of Medical Journals and studies which I will put together with footnotes so that it can be used to help stop abuse of these new moms. Kate Hi Kate, That makes perfect sense! I am eager to see what you have. Best, Jim Dear Jim, FYI: According to the book " The People's Guide to Vitamins A to Zinc " , by Dominic Bosco, an editor of " Prevention " magazine, post partum depression is caused by Folic Acid deficiency. This is one of the B vitamins. Folic Acid is well known to be deficient during pregnancy and crashes after childbirth to practically nothing. This is a well known medical fact and is covered in medical journals. I'll try to get you the exact reference to the medical journals he mentions. Medical doctors should be trained to give Folic Acid after childbirth if symptoms of post partum depression occur. When I get the medical journals exact info I'll write to the editors of this paper. Guest guest
I believe Adela recommended 5 mg of folic acid a day. I can't even find my book " Lets Get Well " by Adela . Maybe someone knows where I can buy one. Of course, if taking 5mg of folic acid a day, a person should be dam sure that they are getting and absorbing enough B12. Serious medical conditions can result, if not. The above is for your education. john --- Jim <mofunnow@...> wrote: > Folks, here is some more data from a knowledgable > contact. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the info You can get Adele's books here: http://dogbert.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t & y=0 & tn=lets+get+well & x=0 I believe Adela recommended 5 mg of folic acid a day.
