Guest guest
I wonder what's in the environment there? Coal-fired generators? Old toxic land fills, schools built on donated old toxic land fills? If there is so much suicide whats whats in the environment? Too many drugs, not enough work/jobs. Toxins in the area. There has to be something real going on there besides everyone being mentally ill. Jim Kenosha 52-year-old Kenosha man - suicide attempt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thursday, 14 December 2006 Pleasant Prairie police investigating reports that a man had been struck by a train used a helicopter and K-9 unit to search for the victim but didn't find him until after he walked into a hospital emergency room late Tuesday. Police Capt. Dave Mogensen said officers learned from the engineer of a southbound Amtrak train that someone had been struck about 8:16 p.m. Officials halted train travel while they searched the area for a victim. Police found no one after searching for a couple of hours. Then, at 11 p.m., police received a call from a Kenosha hospital where doctors were treating a man who said he had been struck by a train. Police later interviewed the 52-year-old Kenosha man, who said he had backed out of a suicide attempt. He failed to get clear of the tracks in time, though, and the train hit his arm. The man then walked to his car and drove himself to the emergency room, according to Mogensen. Police said the injury to his arm required surgery Wednesday morning. His condition was not known late Wednesday, but Mogensen said he would be held for evaluation.
