Hi ladies,

I would like to let you all know that I had my explantation in '94; nearly

21-years after implantation of Dow Implants. I still remember the

'exhileration' I felt after my implant surgery when all the soarness went

away. What a lift to my self-image, and the fun of finally shopping for

clothes without having to consider necklines, etc. The " high " really didn't

last that long before I just kinda' forgot I had implants.

After nearly 20 years, I realized I was rather ill most of the time. Once I

figured out why I was constantly so ill with some many different symptoms,

and accepted what the probable cause was, I went through a period of panic,

to the extent I was fearful of death before I could get the implants

removed.

Once the implants were removed, I suffered some self-image problems for a

few months. Yet now, I really cannot remeber the implants being so great,

or that big of an enhancement to my life or body.

'Strange, how your values change, when you allow matters to just 'fall into

place'!

This is so sad, and makes me wonder how anyone can keep in the

implants when there are stories like this, I mean imagine, if she had

gotten them out I am sure she would still be alive, probably with

some health issues no doubt forever, but alive, now she is gone.

How can anyone with impants still in sleep at night. Arg I know it

drives me nuts, and I miss the implants cause they just looked so

good, but they can't hurt me anymore, and now I can at least try to

heal properly. I hope this helps others who are struggling with these

decisions, because if it doesn't then this woman died in vain.

I hope to god that this doesn't have to keep happening. I believe my

implants would have eventually killed me too.

What a sad and horrible thing.

My prayers go out to this family

that she got all wrapped up in her doctors. Doug (father) and son

tried to get her into some of the things we do but she would not

listen at all. Those doctors got her in their grip and WOULD NOT

EVEN ALLOW HER HUSBAND IN ON THEIR CONVERSATIONS Or DECISIONS!!!!
