Guest guest
Tatezi, I know the new drug plan is not much for everyday drugs, and people that can't afford the first three thousand, but after that the government picks up 100% which is the biggest advancement we have seen yet, especially if you are on treatment. If you need neupogen and epogen to get through it as I did, the cost would stop at $3,000.00, and we all know how high it can go. Many other diseases are treated with expensive medications. I never thought I would wish to be older, but in five years, I won't have to worry about having an insurance company going out of business or discontinue its coverage for small groups. This is not a forum for politics and I will not say any more after this. I don't believe for a minute that Kerry can do any better. I am yet to hear a plan, only that he can make healthcare more affordable. To everyone? That is a pipe dream. People like us, not poor, not wealthy, are caught in the middle and have to pay if they can't get insurance, and eventually lose everything we have spent a lifetime accumulating, house, land, horses, the whole nine yards. He is not going to fix that. The public healthcare system in Louisiana is terrible. Poor facilities. I don't know about the doctors, but just walking into one of those hospitals gives me the creeps. All the good doctors, and we know a few leave for better working conditions, and better pay. Something has to be done. It takes time, and baby steps. Nothing is done in a week, or even a year. At least there is a start. Have a good weekend. Terry
