Guest guest
Just bumping this post in the hope that someone can offer some advice...... julia From: <juliamoonrock@...>thyroid treatment Sent: Mon, 31 May, 2010 11:41:00Subject: pain at night Hi there, can anyone shed some light on this please, I've got my Armour back to 21/2 grains and my adrenal support 'feels' about right again. The thing is, that I've developed very bad joint pain and 'dead hands' again at night...... well actually it's as soon as I lie down. The pain is too bad to sleep. I had this way way back when I first started on Armour ( strangely I had no pains at all when I was on Levo despite non-conversion of T4-T3). As soon as I get up and start moving around, the pain reduces quite a bit, though still have dead hands. Any ideas please ???? Is this too little T3 or something else ? many thanks, julia
Guest guest
Hi So Sorry to hear that you are having such pains in your hands. It sounds similar to carpel tunnel syndrome, have a look at the symptoms, it may be that at night you need to wear wrist splints to keep the hands and wrists in correct alignment. Have you been to a GP with this? Guest guest
Hi , Hmm! Is this carpal tunnel syndrome, or something else? do you get pins and needles when your hands ' come round' ? If so, are you suffering from water retention? if so a diuretic could help- though sufficient of the right thyroid meds will usually help- maybe you need another dose increase to 3 grains? Or maybe you need some T3 instead- that really helped me though I still need the diuretics. thyroid treatment From: juliamoonrock@...Date: Mon, 31 May 2010 10:41:00 +0000Subject: pain at night Hi there, can anyone shed some light on this please, I've got my Armour back to 21/2 grains and my adrenal support 'feels' about right again. Guest guest
Recently, when my youngest wakes me in the middle of the night, I wake up in serious pain. This is really weird. I'm 7 yrs post op on a successful L4-L5-S1 fusion. I don't usually require pain meds and just manage the stiffness and lack of flexibility with massage. This has happened several times now and it really hurts. So far, I've managed to get back to sleep and then I wake up my usual self. Weird. Does anyone have any ideas about what's going on? I'm finding this a bit scary.
