Guest guest
Hi there, hope you are felling better. I got my first cortisone injec. in my elbow yesterday, feels better today but did feel like a tooth ache thanks to tyl-xtra. Please tell me all about embrel, I am seeing a new ra dr. tuesday. She is quite a bit farther away than I care to go but if she is good, it's worth the drive. My old ra dr. wasn't doing anything for me. How long have you been on this med. and how often do you take it? I would also like to know the mg. and the side effects thanks for any info you can give me. I am taking celebrex and msm right now. well hope you get along better, thanks again Judy from Indiana

Guest guest
Hello, Smart move on your part to find a new ra doctor. I've been on enbrel for 2 years now. Once I overcame my fear of needles, the injections twice a week aren't so bad anymore. The benefits of the medication far out weigh the sting of the needle. For me, it hasn't completely taken away all the pain, but I have more good days than bad days. The pain, swelling, and stiffness aren't nearly as bad and it doesn't take as long to get going in the mornings. I've been taking MSM for about 6 months and I can tell a BIG difference when I take it and when I don't. I take one 1000 mg capsule every day at lunch. Thanks to the Enbrel and the MSM, I continue to work every day and I have my quality of life back. That doesn't mean that I don't still have some bad flare ups, and I still have to do things in moderation, but for the most part, life is much better because of the two medications. I haven't had to have a cortisone injection in 2 years. Good luck to you. Guest guest
I love email addresses. My husband chose mine after I had had a stroke a few years ago. I never would have used it but now it is majorly out there in hyperspace so I dare not change it. Anyway if you pay attention, mine tells you how old I am-23= April 23, 52= 1952. I love your's Kringlemom, doe that mean your kids were born on Christmas? I took enbrel for a year and in the beginning it was a miracle-pain free but it lost effectiveness. Now I am on remicade-not the same miracle but better. What enbrel did do was reduce inflammation and lessen fatigue but the pain was still there. It's just a process of elimination and I'm running out of options. Guest guest
Kathy, Are you still bleeding????? This cant be good.... I am still plugging away at my long term disability with my employer. My ortho has sent in papers & I will see my rheumy tomorrow to see why he hasn't sent in the papers. They sent me papers for my education & employment history yesterday. I guess they have plans to rehabilitate me.......Maybe they think I can be third base for the local baseball team without the use of my legs & arms.......Who runs these disability companies anyways ?????????????Morons, I guess......... Take care Kathy & get some answers to that bleeding problem..... Love, Debs in FL
Guest guest
i guess so, nothing has changed!! i am supposed to go see the gi dr tomorrow. they cancelled my renal ultra sound and ivp. that makes me happy. the bloodwork showed i was not pregnant (yipee!!) not that i even thought i was, and my kidneys are working. so friday i do the ct scan of my abdomen and pelvis. then the cystoscopy on the 26th. i go see my rheumi on monday. y'know i was just thinking that i have been home sincce december. you are supposed to call and check in with your boss at least every other week. the only time i have actually talked to my boss was when he called me back to confirm the job was moving to tucson. other than that it's just been me leaving him voice mail messages. i've told one of my co-workers that he is avoiding me. at that time i was kidding but now..... kathy
