Guest guest
Did you do it Patty? Guest guest
I did this survey but who can really say it's getting the proper consideration? I wish, Saline Support had something like this.
Guest guest
I could perhaps put one together, but I am not sure that the results would mean anything to anyone but us. Guest guest
Most likely that poll on s board will be meaningless and they won't care about the results however it sends someone a message that implants are not all they are cracked up to be and made me feel better. Your right we could do a poll but it would also be meaningless except to us. I was just excited to see that it included diseases and those issues, they know they exist and I think it is awful that they know it and don't care. Guest guest
Well then lets do it, I think it would be a great idea, you know I am all for helping other women to not make my same mistake. I guess I was just basing that statement on what Patty had said In @y..., idealifd@a... wrote: > Why do you say it would be meaningless? Guest guest
Yeah other questions that would be good is how long did you have your implants before you noticed symptoms, how long did you wait to take them out, how long after you took them out did you start to feel improvements, or if you still have them are you getting worse, diet and exercise and that type of stuff, actually the more I think about it the more I think it would be a great thing to do, I say lets do it.... I wish more memebers would post, sometimes I feel like the big blabber mouth of the group LOL. ha ha ha I am never ever going to stop being pssionate about this subject. I also am feeling more and more accepting of my body and how I am the way I am etc. Last night I told my husband this and he said that he can't believe I need to learn to accept myself when he thinks most women would love to look like me and have my figure, while that is probably true, I explained that when you go from a 34c/d to a 34 a/aa it is pretty traumatic thing. If I hadn't been so huge with implants it might have been an easier adjustment, I don't know why 390cc made me so big... Blabbing again aren't I? In @y..., " Patty " <fdp@l...> wrote: > Kristy, > I actually didn't say it would be meaningless, but only that it wouldn't mean anything to anyone but us. > > The reason is that it isn't actually a scientific poll--it would have a small and limited number of respondents that would not be a representative population sample. The bias would be toward those of us who have been harmed. However, it would be meaningful to those of us who are curious about the members of our own group, and how many of us have certain outcomes. > > In this regard, I would entertain the creation of a poll for our group. I just need some input on what kind of questions you would like to see asked. For instance, we could ask how many had smooth implants vs. textured, how many had autoimmune disease diagnosis vs those who did not, we could find out what percentage of us have certain symptoms, etc. > Patty > ----- Original Message ----- > From: idealifd@a... > @y... > Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 7:21 AM > Subject: Re: Re: Urgent PLEASE READ > > > Why do you say it would be meaningless? Just taking a poll that ask Questions like " dose any one in your family have an auto immune illness? " Maybe enough to discourage someone. Give it some thought. Guest guest
Kristy that is not the case in this situation, you didn't know you would get sick, you had no idea and you are not part of the problem, you are a victim like everyone else. No one really knows much about implants anyhow. All of it is pretty obvious, I mean you take a foreign object and put it in your body, will it react or not, will it react now, or 10 years from now? You see all the women running around or on tv or magazines and you know nothing of them and their lives except appearances, appearances are so decieving, I was a great example of that, I have pictures of me with implants and I looked great, the picture of health and vitality. One day at work when I was still implanted and feeling awful (But I had a great tan) a social worker came up to me and said " I am jealous of you your tan and you look so healthy " and I just thought to myself oh geeze if she only new I am dying inside. So how many women are there out there right now that are aching or think they have RA or MS or Lupus and have implants and maybe they have had them for 10 years and they are not connecting to two. I personally just met a girl here in Idaho Falls she is young, 23 and pretty and very nice, and I knew right away she had implants, I know my implants, LOL and we got to talking and she told me about her " clumsiness " I mean she was covered with bruises on her legs and she said she is always knocking things over falling, tripping whatever. This girl was so ill my husband went over there and gave her a blessing(he is LDS and a preisthood holder) and she thought she had mono. Everyday lately I have tried to get her to go to the gym with me, she always has an excuse, but she never does anything cept lay on the couch. She is the fiance of my husbands friend, anyhow she is just not right, I know she is having troubles, I even hinted around with her, but I don't think she has any clue, she doesn't even know how to get on the internet so how would she know. Anyhow I don't know how I got off on this subject, ha ha ha Blabbering again Kristy you will figure it all out, in the meantime post and get involved we have had so many memebers including myself that had implants and posted some for a long time....some still do, we are not here to say you must do anything, just for support, please stay with us and talk about it, it will help you .....no matter what you do In @y..., idealifd@a... wrote: > Thank you!
