Friends,

I am forwarding the following with an explanation. a is the list owner for a Paxil support group in the United Kingdom. Her own challenges in trying to overcome her Paxil addiction became so severe that she finally checked herself into a hospital because she was afraid she was at the point where she would really do herself in.... (she was advised by many in the group she directs to NOT go to the hospital)...

Anyway, a couple of days after she had checked herself into the hospital, I received a distressed message from her boyfriend (he used a's email address to send out an SOS to anyone within earshot...).

The hospital was recommending ECT or a new prescription for Zispin (Remeron). Her boyfriend, "Dinks", wasn't sure what to do...

We quickly established a network. I provided Dinks with information on both ECT and Remeron and advised against both. We put him in touch with some people in the United Kingdom who could be there for support.

a is now out of the hospital. I will shortly forward her latest message...

Just thought you'd be interested. We can make a difference!!!!!

Dear a,

It's so good to see you are still alive and kicking!!! Thanks for posting. In the article below, do you suppose she might be making reference to our groups???

Now, if these mental health professionals were really trying to help, don't you think it would be wise if they directed their patients to our groups as well as presented their take on the drugs so that their patients could really make an informed choice???

Please keep us posted, a... There have been many prayers said on your behalf, and we will continue to pray for you!!!

Tell Dinks thanks!
