Guest guest
Thanks so much, I'll check out the sites you suggested.  Have a blessed week. Jackie  From: GlennR <grisley6315@...> Subject: Re: Information - Medicine Hepatitis C Date: Sunday, January 3, 2010, 11:01 AM  Hi Jackie, I'm glad you found this site, but I'm sorry you had to find it. First off: most people will die with hep C, not from it. Depending on you condition you may or may not need to do treatment. Have you had a liver biopsy and ultrasound? How are your enzymes and liver functions? Do you know your genotype? Sorry to throw a bunch of questions at you but the answers help to determine what you do next. This group has many people who have done treatment (me for one), and many who have decided to do 'Watchful Waiting'. Whatever you decide to do, there is support here for you. You may want to take a trusted person with you to your next dr. appointment. They can take notes and suggest questions you may have forgotten to ask. A good website to look at is: www.hcvadvocate. org. They have a list of questions to ask your dr. Both companies that make the meds for treatment have patient assistance programs. If you can't afford the meds they will provide them at a reduced cost, usually free after the first month. Their websites are listed in the 'Links' tab on this site.
