Guest guest
Elaine, Clouded or not - it is great to hear from you. I have been worried about you when I see the pictures of the weather over there. The wait and see approach is difficult but it is sometimes the best approach. It sounds like you have faith in your surgeon and that is important. My biopsy results came back negative - which is great but I still don't know what caused the lump. I am anxious to see the doctor. I did appreciate the call from the nurse so I did not have to wait for the pathology reports. Have you ever had a CAT scan? I did not find that to be confining at all. The MRI should not be attempted by anyone with a panic disorder but the CAT is not nearly as bad. I did not like the noise with the MRI - I just went to sleep. I am great at escaping. You are in my prayers. You have been through so much, as many on this list have, you deserve some good news. I hope you can stay indoors and stay warm. Your letter was clear - not cloudy at all. Guest guest
Dear June, Thank you.. the HUG HELPED!! Jeanette, , a, and Pat, I appreciate your e-mail and concern and thoughts. The surgeon decided on a " wait and see " stance. I have a bilateral mammogram on Dec 23.. He says we will watch the lump.. and hope it goes away on it's own.. he doesn't want to " stir things up " if the mammograms again come back with suspicious areas. I definitely will NOT be having a biopsy at the same time as the foot surgery.. (THAT IS THE SURGEON'S DAY OFF!!).. The next step will be to see what is recommended as far as the mammograms, and then re-evaluate the next step. He is talking about a possible CAT SCAN which in my opinion is NOT an option because of my panic disorder.. Guess it is just a " waiting game " ... with the increased stress and uncertainty doing a job on my fibro. Tomorrow will be a better day, I am sure. I am extremely tired tonight and I think it is " clouding " what I write.. You take care and keep warm. May God continue to bless you and give us ALL strength, wisdom and peace. Guest guest
Elaine: I am finally getting to your e-mail. A CT-scan does not put you into one of those tube things. It is only an arch over your body where your head and most of your body are out, depending upon where you are being scanned. There is nothing to be afraid of with this. You are totally out in the open. Good luck to you dear. I am suppose to get another 6 mo. mamo too. I have a lump in my left breast they are watching carefully and my mom had breast cancer in that breast. Oh boy!!! I don't even worry about it anymore. If it happens, it happens and there isn't anything I can do to prevent it. They said the last few times it has not grown and does not look malignant. They are calling it a calcium deposit that could turn malignant. Be brave woman; we are here for you. Jeannette
