Congratulations, Ellen. It's so good to hear good news, and especially

at this time. We are all so happy for you. Sandy

Great News

May I first apologize if you get this more than once. I am telling all!!!

I got my Tribal Enrollment letter and card in today's mail!!!!!!!!!!

I am absolutely elated!!!!!

Now please understand, no piece of paper makes me more of an Indian and if

the tribe or government had denied me this paper, I would not be any less of

an Indian.

I have my reasons for seeking tribal membership and none of them have to do

with money, my tribe is State recognized but Federally recognized. For those

that think Indians get money, land, privileges, etc. You have been taught

wrong. The government refuses to even acknowledge over 200 tribes, clans, &

nations.

I have blood of 3 noble Nations/Tribes running in my

veins--Chicora-Waccamaw, Lumbee, and Cherokee. Of course I am a member of

only the one tribe, my fore fathers on my mothers side are " core " members of

this tribe.

Please do some research and teach your children the truth about the

aboriginal peoples of this land.

Praying for the United States,

Ellen

This is excellent! I would be interested in researching my background...from

what I understand, there is some Indian blood from father's side and we have a

picture of an older woman from my mother's paternal side...no verification but

she sure does look Indian. It'd be nice to know I am not a TOTAL conqueror and

that I have some original American blood running thru these veins! But I have

no idea where to start and I have other priorities but one of these

days!...Laurie

this is great news. Not only the fact that

you are going to Duke, love the doctor, but also

it works so well with your school schedule.

I bet the other person having the myotomy would

like to room with you too. Why not ask?

Congratulations and good luck.

, I'm so glad that you found an experienced surgeon AND one that will work w/ your schedule!!! Keep us posted!Debbi

Okay, drove the 3 hours to Duke University Hospital last night, and saw the surgeon today. She is great!!! We are doing a Heller and Dor on April 5. She doesn't think I have gastroperesis. She thinks the achalasia was mimicking gastroperesis during my gastric emptying study. We are going to do a liquid g.e.s. on Tuesday when I have my pre-op appointment. Hopefully that will work better than the radioactive egg. The surgeon says I should only be in the hosp for 1 night, and can go back to school after a week if I feel up to it. This is awsome since my spring break starts on the 5th. I am so excited! I told my mom the first "real" food I want to eat is a big, thick, homemade hamburger with lettuce, tomato, and onion. *grin* Oh yeah, I will be the second Heller she preforms that day... wonder if I can be roomies with the other one? LOL

This is very awesome that you found someone and everything

clicked for the both of you. I wish you the both great happiness and a bright

future. I am always happy that people find there soul mates and brings great joy

how this group can do so many things. I am so Happy to be part of this group.

God Bless you all and the Marriage if it becomes to be!!!!!!!!!

-- Great News

Well everybody I just joined this group a couple of weeks ago. Well I

was watching some of the posts and saw one in particular that caught

my eye. It was posted by Autumn. I saw that she was online and I im'ed

her and asked her about it. Well we began to chat. We ended up

chatting for about 30 mins that first night. The next day we talked

for hours and again the next day. To make a long story short, I'm

flying to meet her and ask her to marry me!!!!!!!

I just want to thank this group for giving me a chance to meet my baby.

I'm so excited!!!

Hoo boy. Dwayne, Autumn, I don't know either one of you, but BE CAREFUL.

And take things slow. 3 weeks via the Internet is not enough time to get to

know someone enough to ask them to marry you. Trust me on this one. I got

married to a woman I met at an LPA conference, and this was after almost two

years of courtship (mostly long distance) and it didn't work out. While

today I can honestly say she is my friend I wish her the best, we both

suffered painfully through the divorce, and it took us a few years to get

our lives back to normal. And I believe if we had taken more time to spend

with one another, face to face, we could have avoided the train wreck that

became our marriage.

So, take it easy, take it slow...love waits.

Just my advice. Heartbreak sucks.

Good news:) Next drs visit for me in 3 weeks I will also be half way through.

So far my liver enzymes have returned to normal. Hope that my viral load will

show that it has dropped or better still cleared on my next visit. When I first

started tx I thought " this is not as bad as they say " . But as time goes on I am

getting sick and tired of being sick and tired. Postive news like yours

inspires me:)

Hello ,

*Great* news, indeed! Always good to hear the positive results in the

group.

I'm being scheduled every three months to see my primary care physician. I

haven't started treatment yet, but all the tests have been run, so I should

start soon.

Best regards from Rochester, NY
