Guest guest
Hi a, Well I'm not sure what is going on. I saw the GI doctor and he feels for now I am over the pancreatitis. Question is why did I have it? He feels I fall into the bracket of 15%, that never know why. Not a good answer. I feel so sick to my stomach all the time, I'm not sure if the pills are helping or not. The specialist kinda made a face at this drug, my primary recommend it to me. I have to go for a Hida Scan, the specialist was a little upset that I set it up for after Thanksgiving. Things don't go well for me, so I was so concerned that there would be a problem, and I didn't want my kids to have to come to the hospital for Thanksgiving that I delayed it. He wanted it down next week. My gallbladder is very slow and they don't know if it is diseased on not, so that is the reason for the Hida Scan. This is very frustrating and I hate feeling like this. I had to go for an MRI on my hand and wrist. It was so uncomfortable to lay there. I was just ready to tell them to stop and they were finished. My joints hurts a lot, this MRI took longer than the one I had done on my hips. They told me the hand takes a lot of time, guess because there are so many bones. Are you thinking about trying school again. Registration starts for me, next week. I am going to register with the hope I can go back. I want to be positive. If I need anything done with this stomach thing, it will have to be done the end of December or start of January. Guest guest
, I still can't accept that it wasn't caused by your meds. The manufacturer's sites of the meds say that pancreatitis is a side effect, yet your doctors say no. Whatever the cause, I'm glad it is finally going away. I hope you feel better soon. I am to undecided about school right now. I may take an online class, but I can't make plans to go to school in the winter. I can't walk in the ice or snow, and I won't drive in it, so I won't make commitments that make me go outside in the winter. a ----- Original Message ----- From: Valued Compaq Customer <ruf-caimi@...> < egroups> Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2000 7:01 PM Subject: Re: [ ] a > Hi a, > Well I'm not sure what is going on. Guest guest
Hi a, I agree with you, I now think there is a good chance it was the remicade. There is only one way to find out. The specialist told me, if the pancreatitis was caused by the remicade, I will be the first person he has heard of. I know this is listed as a side effect. Rainy Sue had told me her own doctor warned her it could mess up her pancreatis. My primary does feel doing it again now is such a good idea, and I know the Rheumy won't do anything until they find out what is going on. I am getting ready to register for classes soon. I'm not sure I am doing the right thing but if you wait to register, you don't get what you want. So I am crossing my fingers and registering. Hope you and are feeling better. Guest guest
Hi Terry. The AB treatment is going well. I can't say that I see any improvements, but it hasn't been long enough. For people like me that have had this disease for more than 20 years, it takes much longer to see results. I was supposed to have IV treatments, but I am not happy with my AB doctor and haven't been back. I'm still taking 500 mg of tetracycline on MWF, and have had no side effects. On the road back list everyone had blood tests and tested positive for mycoplasma before starting treatment. My doctor didn't test me. At the second visit, I had expected to have blood work, but still no blood work. He never examined my at either visit, and never listened to my heart or took my pressure. The next nearest doctor is almost 3 hours away, and I'm not sure how I am going to proceed. For right now since I am still on Enbrel, I am going back to my old RD and not mentioning the tetracycline. At least I will have my labs monitored until I decide what to do. Are you considering trying AB? a ----- Original Message ----- From: <tperrella@...> < egroups> Sent: Monday, December 18, 2000 4:54 PM Subject: [ ] a > Does anyone know how a's new treatment is going? Guest guest
Shirley, Antibiotics. If you want information about it, I've collected many websites http://rheumatoid.arthritis.freehosting.net/alternative.htm#Antibiotics The Road Back foundation is one of the best sources of information. From what I have read, it you've had it for a long time, it takes longer to see any benefits. I was told not to expect any changes for a year unless I went on IV antibiotics. This treatment is not new. It's been used for a long time but since it is not FDA approved to treat autoimmune diseases with AB's most rheumies will not prescribe it. a ----- Original Message ----- From: <Edmis3@...> < egroups> Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2000 10:51 AM Subject: Re: [ ] a > what is the AB treatment, haven't heard of that one, I am really > suffering so am willing to try anythin g new out there that might work. > Shirley/Wyoming Edmis3@... > > > Our websites: http://rheumatoid.arthritis.freehosting.net/ > http://www.rasupport.webprovider.com/ > Change subscription options: >
