Hep B Treatment Guidelines Too Restrictive?

According to a recent study published in the Journal of Gastroenterology and

Hepatology (Jan. 2011), the current HBV treatment guidelines exclude many people

who go on to develop liver cancer or die of cirrhosis. These findings have

better meet the needs of individuals who are still at high risk for end-stage

liver disease. The authors also point out that including additional indicators

in the treatment guidelines would make more high-risk people eligible for

current treatment. Read more.
