Guest guest
Yeah, I only ever heard of " Mrs. " type allegations......older women. Even then it was only gossip, never a admission from a guy who really had a relationship with a teacher. I suspect it was Urban Legend, like every town had a haunted house or a witch, ever school had a " Mrs. " . But that isn't what is going on today. Guest guest
I hope I'm not reposting info, but the idiot husband of Ms. Lafavre in Florida told the cable tv interviewer, when asked if she had a history of mental health issues, said she had only MINOR mental health issues for which she was being treated. MINOR according to him was her treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression....hmmmm....doesn't sound minor to me, and there's no pun intended there. He didn't elaborate, but if she was on Wellbutrin, she should be using hypersexuality as her defense. Re: Predatory teachers Yeah, I only ever heard of " Mrs. " type allegations......older women. Guest guest
Not just Wellbutrin. Hypersexuality is a symptom of bipolar disorder. All SSRIs are capable of causing antidepressant induced bipolar disorder (Bipolar III or IV, depending on the researcher you read). AD or medication induced bipolar use to be in the DSM but was removed. It is expected to be back in the next edition. > > In a message dated 8/13/05 9:43:52 AM Mountain Daylight Time, > > SSRI medications writes: > > > > > > > Anyone looking into > > > whether or not these young attractive women, some married, are > taking > > > SSRIs making them hypersexual and unable to use their common sense > and > > > stay away from boys? > > > > > I heard that a couple of these women WERE being treated for > " depression " > > prior to their involvement with their young students. Guest guest
I could be mistaken so correct me if I am, hypersexuality is a symptom of mania and you don't have to be bipolar to experience mania. It is a fact that SSRI's do push people into mania that have never experianced it before. Guest guest
I am so use to dealing with mania being a symptom of bipolar and people getting diagnosed with bipolar while in AD induced mania that I completely forgot that the mania can occur and the person taking the AD would not necessarily be diagnosed with bipolar of any sort. **sigh** Been living in the world of bipolar too long, folks.
