Dr. Kolb is on now...

She has related her breast implant experience, with both silicone gel and saline implants. She views her experiences as a saline implant recipient as a way for her to understand her patients and is researching how to heal from the illness associated with implants.

She is discussing the toxic load and how it affects the immune system, and the use of holistic medicine to strengthen the immune system and detoxify. She is Board Certified in Holistic medicine.

Capsular contracture is due to subclinical infection.....she discussed the smooth vs. textured implants....the various contaminants contained in the implants, how silicone molecules cannot be digested and get into the lymphatics and the organs. The macrophages die, and cytokines are released and cause inflammation. More macrophages come along to pick up the silicone and the cycle continues.

Pain is probably the most common issue for silicone victims.

MCS...more in the saline group than the silicone group...and needs to be studied.

Platinum, a very caustic substance used in the implants...symptoms of platinum toxicity: itching, uticharia, causes activation of allergic immune response.

Textured implants make a very sick looking scar capsule, and this needs to be removed. The capsule is an indicator of how the immune system is reacting.

Women who don't get better as quickly after removal were not undergoing detoxification treatment. DETOX is so important!

Yeast is an issue that needs to be addressed--it's a given in breast implant disease.

Get implants out, detox, get the immune system back functioning.

Thanks for your devotion to helping women heal, !

Patty
