Mindy McCready Overdoses on Anti-Depressants

Troubled country star Mindy McCready was admitted to a Nashville, Tennessee

hospital on Friday after she overdosed on anti-depressants.

The pregnant singer, 29, was arguing with her ex-boyfriend McKnight

on the telephone, over whether his parents would help pay for her pregnancy,

before she took 30 anti-depressant pills Friday morning, a police report

states.

McKnight called McCready back after their previous phone call ended and when

he received no answer, he contacted the police and ambulance services. Local

officials say she was in a " fair condition " in the hospital.

McCready is currently embroiled in several legal problems, including her

arrest for drunk-driving and a separate arrest in relation to her

involvement with a conman she had been assisting police in attempting to

catch.

McCready attempted to commit suicide earlier this summer, a few months after

McKnight was charged with attempted murder after allegedly breaking into her

home and beating her.

Last year, the entertainer was placed on three years probation after

pleading guilty to obtaining the painkiller OxyContin fraudulently.
