Guest guest
Hi Marge, Mine is the same day as yours. I wish you good luck! Your grandson is sweet. All the best, Margaret in Israel Hi Margaret, I just noticed that. I wish blessings on you, too. I will be thinking of you as I lay there--hopefully no longer hurting. I am going to put your address into my MailStation and if someone gets it hooked up this time, I will be writing to you from the hospital. I had my pre-op with the surgeon yesterday, so I am beginning to feel this is now real. I loved the idea of leaving my body on the bed and going away, just like we take our cars to the shop and go away. It helps a lot. Now I am wondering where will I go? It might be this place: Will life get exciting when I can walk a mile comfortably? All the best, Marge He lives!

Guest guest
It looks a lovely place, Marge! Is it somewhere near where you live? We have beautiful hilly scenery and forests and great places to walk near where I live (the Galilee Hills in north Israel, overlooking the Sea of Galilee) - and I'm really looking forward to getting out and walking there when I'm able to! Plus of course in my imagination while the "mechanics" are working on my body! I won't be able to check my email while I'm in hospital as I won't have a laptop with me. However, I discovered that on the Hadassah hospital website, there is a facility for sending email to patients. The home page is http://www.hadassah.org.il/english , and from there is a link "send a greeting". I'll be in Har Hatzofim (Mount Scopus - there are 2 branches of the hospital), in Orthopedics department. Do many hospitals have this possibility? I didn't realise you could do it until y went for her knee op in Florida, and said we could send her email (she and I are on another list.) All the best, Margaret Re: where to go? Aren't these Hip Replacements the most wonderful thing that was ever invented?????They surely are! They are so wonderful that I immediately did the same thing to both knees! Now--will my sacroiliac behave? Hmmmmmmm...
Guest guest
Wow - that is really encouraging!! Something to look forward to, to keep in sight through the long intermediate recovery period. Thanks, Doris. Interesting how our perspectives change... in my younger days I loved hiking, used to lead hikes and rambling holidays, regularly walked 10-15 miles in a day and thought nothing of it. We take our walking so much for granted when our bodies are healthy. Nowadays, my first thought with every step I take is "will it hurt?" Walking without pain is a distant memory. Some days, if I manage to walk from my house to the corner of my lane, a couple of hundred yards, that's an achievement! I can't wait to go through this wonderful transformational experience..... Margaret (glad I didn't throw my hiking boots away.....) Re: where to go? YES, YES, Life will be exciting when you can walk a mile comfortably. Plus of course in my imagination while the "mechanics" are working on my body! We did the series by Ray Vander Laan a while back. He showed us the land and the rivers, up close and personal. I can imagine where you will walk. I won't be able to check my email while I'm in hospital as I won't have a laptop with me. However, I discovered that on the Hadassah hospital website, there is a facility for sending email to patients. The home page is http://www.hadassah.org.il/english , That is so neat! I will save and try to use that. and from there is a link "send a greeting". I'll be in Har Hatzofim (Mount Scopus - there are 2 branches of the hospital), in Orthopedics department. Guest guest
That would be really nice if you could, Marge! I'm not planning on sending email while I'm away - won't have laptop, and I guess I'll have too much else to keep me busy! So I'll be going no-mail on my lists for as long as I'm away, and plan to catch up as soon as I get back home and have strength to sit in front of the computer... Which hospital will you be in? How soon do you expect to be back home after your op? The day I arrived on rehab, a gal from the hospital offices arrived with a handful of messages from Margaret and others......they were as suprised as I was. Guest guest
I have wide-band access to the WWW at home, which I can't take with me. However, had I planned a bit earlier, I could have used the conventional modem in my laptop and accessed through the phone connection that I had in my room at the clinic and the rephab center. In France, we pay by the phonecall, even if I phone someone in the same building. So I would pay a regular rate each time I accessed the WEB. It would have been great for accessing and writing my email and Spam. Unfortunatley, the software for accessing arrived after I had already left for the clinic. Who knows? Maybe it was fortunate. Margaret (dreaming of walks in the Galilee Hills........)" I will do my best. For the other two ops, I was not too successful finding anyone to get me hooked up properly. This time I am going to write it down and sign it and hand it in while I am there for hospital pre-op.That should give them five days to get it to the right person! I will be in St. Francis De Cours hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. Usually I have had Wed --Sun on the surgical floor, then Mon-Fri on the rehab floor. It is sort of iffy about getting on to rehab now, since Medicare has changed the rules. I think having more than one thing wrong with me will enable me to be allowed up there. I hope so anyway. I need it. Marge, He lives!
Guest guest
Marge, Don't worry if you can't get onto Internet while you're in hospital. I don't expect I will either. We can catch up after we both get home! I really hope your surgery goes well, and that you get into rehab for as long as you need it. Wishing you good healing. I'll be thinking of you. Guest guest
This is not something you can run from. You prepare, you educate yourself, you stock up on food, water, etc., make a plan, you print everything you can get your hands on and have it handy to re-read, tell everyone you know, hope they believe you, give them back up and pray A LOT! This is happening everywhere. ____________________________________________________________ Workers Compensation Legal Advice. Guest guest
Well I am stumped. I am old and impecunious. I tell everyone I know about the vaccines and they do NOT believe me except for the untested part. They have agreed not to take the vaccine, but only because they have not been tested as safe. They think it is disloyal to America to doubt the good intentions of the government and they think I am either a nut case or am not living right that I would think such things. My friends are mostly really old also and when I told them that the GOVERNMENT doctors and not their own private physician would help them make end of life decisions, they had their ears on, but I don't think I convinced them. The only reason they have stocked up on food is because Jim Bakker television (evangelist) show has advised it. If I say anything about it, I am just being negative but he ties it in with the famine horseman of the Apocalypse. So anyway, I went ahead and bought his package of freeze dried food. It was really a good deal on it. For a "donation" of $1000 I got a year's supply for one person of freeze-dried food and a lot of water filter bottles in addition to a bunch of other stuff like a space blanket that somebody said enabled them to sleep in their car all one winter and a flashlight that all you have to do is shake it to recharge the battery. I really wish I had the health to physically flee into the forests, however. I think there may come a time when we are advised in the Bible to flee right from the field and not even go back to the house for a cloak. I don't understand all that stuff but believe it anyway. So ladies, I am willing to fight. But fight with what? Fight with who? I have no clue as to anybody in New Mexico that would be of like mind, much less willing to take on a millstone around their neck like me.I eat every day at the senior center. I just read that people that use WIC are going to have to show their vaccinations to use the programs. So I may not enjoy the senior center good cooking much longer as I certainly won't take that abominable vaccine just to get a meal.I will continue to prepare as best as I can and hope God will send me a companion to share my resources with.Ann. A couple of places to go for zapping varments should they make their way into our bodies. www.toolsforhealing.com and www.healthfreedomusa.org. Tha later was mentioned in the reps repsonse...but I have a hard time believing our politicians, too. Dr. Laibow is fighting codex alimentarius, Big pharma, to get our supplements and vitamins prescription. Ever notice the sale at Sprouts ends Dec. 2009 the month this is supposed to happen, unless we BAND TOGETHER and stop it. I imagine it has to do with the health plan they were trying to push through. Get the cheap zapper and use it immediately on an innoculation site and the parasite cleanse after. You can build your own zapper with the download on the site. Keep in positive meditation every time you get unnerved or afraid. Many people can make a difference.
