Guest guest
If you all will remember, I am also from Arkansas and I tried to find a link to this story to post it here when these young lives were lost. The media in the US is so besotted by money that they ignore many stories like this. Think about the revenues brought in by the constant advertising for pills to cure all ills, paid for by - guess who? - BIG Pharma. I sometimes think its all just a waste of our time and the only thing we can look forward to is sharing our pain and finally finding a sympathetic ear within this group. The rest of the public either swears by their happy pills or thinks we are trying to place blame for our tragedies on someone. If they even realised how many promising lives are being destroyed or ended, maybe something could be done. I read today that the FDA (read F---ing Dumb Asses) have issued a strong warning about how closely doctors must follow up on women who are taking RU-486 to cause themselves to abort. THREE people have died after taking the most ironically named drug ever (ARE YOU FOR (4) " 86-ING " BABIES?) and they are jumping to make announcements warning of the dangers. How many have we lost to all SSRI's - either through addiction, suicide or incarceration after committing murder? A hell of a lot more than 3! I know of 6, including my son and , within 70 miles of my home who have committed suicide, a woman in Pine Bluff who was taken to court for a minor offense, ordered by a judge to take her anti-depressant as her doc had ordered despite her testimony that the drug made her lose control and have violent and suicidal thoughts, then found herself charged with murder for killing her allegedly abusive boyfriend (police reports supported her allegations). She claims no memory of the event; she told the nurses in the ER at Jefferson Regional Medical Center that they should go to her house because she thought something was wrong there. Yeah, there was something wrong all right - her boyfriend had been shot to death - by her. JRMC is the same " medical facility " that oversees the Southeast Arkansas Behaviorial Center that killed my son. Her lawyer tried to bring up SSRI's and theie effects - but the jury didn't buy it. She got 20 years and she has been told that she will be " treated " for her depression in prison even though she has begged not to be forced to take their crap anymore. The last time she was interviewed, she sounded like a zombie. I would love for the writer from LR to contact us directly - nandtbearden@... - maybe we can put our heads together and start telling this story in Arkansas.
