Your in the right place girl, what your experiencing is very common,

if I was you I would start reading the stories in the files section,

also check out the implant/explant pics, and of course we all can

answer many of your questions.

I can tell you the answers first to your questions about getting

better, my fatigue, dizziness is gone, my aches and pains are still

alive and well, I am 10 months post explantation and have gained

allot of my health back, in fact now I have insomnia and I used to

sleep 24/7, anyhow check out my story I am .

Feel free to write me and ask anything you need to @ my e-mail

address or here on the site, I feel for you and know what your going

through, I was very ill, I had to get the implants out within a year

and a half because I was so sick I couldn't take any more chances I

do believe most women will find some relief,I do not believe it is a

guarantee that you will get better by getting an explant, however,

there are many factors to consider in your decision, most of us that

are active on this group all have been at that point where you are

now, and it does seem that the women who had the implants longer,

tend to have the longer healing time, but not as a rule.

I can tell you this, while I am still achey and have autoimmune tests

that are positive, I can wake up at 5 am work out for an hour and a

half, work a 12 hour shift and come home and still have energy to be

with my husband.

So yeah I am tons better, I am not 100% cured, I don't know if I ever

will be. My main problem is painful hands and feet and believe it to

be nerve damgage from the implants, I also occasionally get brain

fog, it used to be so bad I could hardly see straight so it is much

improved.

There are several excellent and knowledgable Dr's you can contact via

the internet and also one who posts here on this site.

These Dr's may or may not be near to you but are worth the trip, if

you decide to remove your implants.

Check out Dr.Feng @ www.drfeng.com also Kolb @ Plastikos.com or

Huang, I don't know her email but I believe e does so

post to e if you want it.

Keep with the group and tell us more about your self, what kind of

implants are they? Textured or smooth?

Well, god bless you in your struggle, I empathize so much with you

and I am here for you any time.

Love,

PS we are seeing so much more of this everyday, I met a girl here

where I live recently who is only 23 and she is always tired, I am

trying to approach this sensitive subject with her now, it is very

difficult because we all wanted the implants so badly that the

thought of giving them up for most of us is heart wrenching, I fought

it and fought it, but in the end I am glad I made the choice to get

them out, at least my immune system can be free to heal without the

foreign objects taxing it more and more over time.

Take care, Love and hugs :)

Hey ,

Thanks for the info. Are the results of explanation better depending on the

type of implant and if it's implanted under or over the muscle?

I know deep down that it was the implants but I think I was in denial. You

know, you want the implants to feel good and it really is disappointing to

think of not having them but I'd prefer to take them out and be healthy.

Thanks again for all the help and support. It means alot to be able to

communicate with others who know what I " m feeling.

Charlene

Hi Charlene,

You must have gotten your implants right after I got mine. I got them in

May 1997, and by January 1998 I was sick. Lots of women have been getting

sick within the first 12 months. It sounded like you did too.

Your experience is like all of ours pretty much....was totally healthy

before getting implants, and then stuff starts to happen. It is confusing

because when you go to the doctors they all say things like it is all in

your head, or it's not the implants, but we will figure it out. Of course

they never do because the tests more than likely come back normal, and then

you begin to wonder if you are losing your mind or what!

But, the truth is, the implants DO make women sick, and it is all stuff like

you are experiencing....the fatigue, the dizziness, the loss of

concentration, the headaches. For me it was all brain stuff, head stuff and

visual disturbances. I didn't have the joint pain at first like most women

get, or other pain issues. But the head stuff, the neurological symptoms

scared the crap out of me. I was a straight A college student, bright, had

a mind that remembered everything, and I mean everything! Phone numbers

that I had only called once several weeks before, account numbers that I

hadn't used in years, drivers license numbers (even my very first one that I

got when I was 16) , faces and names, how much I had in my bank accounts to

the penny, page numbers of things I had read in books, details of

everything, stuff that most people can't recall, and THAT was gone. I was

having trouble saying the right words in a sentence, couldn't remember what

I had just said to someone five minutes before, I couldn't remember if I had

taken a vitamin pill, I left cleaning supplies all over the house because I

would get distracted and forget what I was doing, I burned food on the stove

because I forgot I was cooking, and just sitting down to write out checks

for bills took a tremendous effort. It was just simply the most frightening

experience of my life. I loved my new figure with implants, but it was

really hard to contemplate the thought of them being the reason for my

sudden ill health, because I was told they would last my lifetime. But it

was just the most logical explanation for why I was so sick all of a sudden.

I mean, people just don't lose their minds overnight!

I have been a health nut pretty much most of my life, so after being

insulted and abused by the medical system, I decided that was enough and I

took the alternative route and regained almost all of my health. In answer

to your second question then, I want to assure you it is possible.

However, there are no guarantees of recovery, and what you need to do is

give your body the best chance it has to get back its balance. That means

getting heavy into detoxing and rebuilding health. I did it all without

drugs, and I do believe that this is the best way to go. However, it takes

time and effort. I had my implants out in Feb 1998 and it has taken me

until this year, 2001--over three years--to get better. So patience is

certainly not only a virtue for us, it is necessary.

As for how my breasts look after removal, they look fine. I was under no

illusions though, I did not expect them to look good as new. There are

scars. It will all depend on the skill of the surgeon who takes them out,

and I would encourage you to be very, very careful about choosing the

surgeon who takes them out for you. Above all else, you must, must, must get

a total capsulectomy--you must make sure that the doctor understands that

you want every last trace of the scar tissue removed from your body.

We typically have recommended doctors in the area that you live, but for

those who are willing to travel and spend the money necessary, Dr. LuJean

Feng is probably the BEST plastic surgeon in the world for explant. She is

in Ohio. You will hear her name over and over again. There are others, and

if you are interested, please write and I can tell you names of others in

your area.

Charlene, I hope we can help you see the light at the end of the tunnel. So

many of us have been down this road....it isn't easy, but you don't have to

be alone.

Check out all the files we have posted in the files section--the testimonies

of some of us girls, the studies that show silicone is harmful ( you can

print these references off and take them to your doctor if you need to) and

pictures of explants, as well as links to many other implant related sites

on the web.

Glad you found us, although I am very sorry to hear that you are going

through this at all. We will be here for you.

Love,

Patty

I do not think it makes a big difference if they are under or over, I

think most of us had under the muscle, it might make it less

disfiguring as the implant is not attched to the breast itself.

What type do you have?

Stay in touch ok!

good luck!

Hi Charlene,

I haven't had Saline Implants, but for 12 1/2 yr's I had the Silicone Breast Implants. After 12 1/2 yr's they were explanted. Both had ruptured, right implant fragmented, right capsule ruptured, forming another capsule in right upper abdomen. My implants were large, 800 cc's (a piece). Upon the P/S removing implants, capsules and suctioning what silicone gel she could remove, advised me she was able to retrieve all but approx. 250 cc's of Silicone Gel. Had allot of migrating silicone prior to surgery, including allot of spillage during surgery.

Have been diagnosed with M.S.; Chronic Fatigue; Fibro; Connective Tissue Disease; and Degenerative Disc Disease.

Fatigue is one of the many symptoms I fight every day. Yet, I have trouble sleeping at night. Contradicting, isn't it? I appear to others, as being lazy, but I'm not. I'm just wore out, from the moment I get out of bed, until I return to bed. I can take a nap and still wake up, tired (fatigued).

I no longer have any breasts, due to two mastectomies. The original mastectomy was before implants, and a second one after implants. Lots of burning in chest, mostly on right side. Rash that comes and goes. Terrible headaches, sometimes so severe I end up vomiting. Daily low grade fevers. No longer able to work and have been fighting for my SSD for four yr's next month.

Just because your tests come back normal does not mean you're not sick. These Doctor's are not testing for or taking consideration in the fact, we have been implanted with a foreign object which has certain chemicals that will make us sick. Our illnesses depend on the type of implant, how long they were in, time length of rupture prior to explant and the procedure or method used to explant (these life altering devices).

I thought once they were removed, I would begin feeling better, but instead, my health has deteriorated - from living a life that was full and active, with lots of friends, a lively social life and wonderful job.

Now, my social life are the support groups through my computer, trying (with my husbands help) to keep our apartment clean and that's it. I use a walker with a seat in it, if I'm going to be walking any distance and if I go to a grocery store with my husband to shop, I use their electric carts. If they don't have any available, then we leave. I use to go dancing every week-end, the zoo, camping. I could go on and on. I not only have to let go of what I use to do, I must except the way I am now, plus take the humiliation from Doctor's that choose to not recognize I have been chemically poisoned. The last Neurologist I saw ran some tests on me and concluded: She recognizes the Degenerative Disc Disease due to my recent MRI (but that's all); The spots in the white frontal lobe of my brain (two appearing to be demylination) are because I'm old (I'm 54 y.o.); The high Sed Rate of 68 (normal is between 0-20) she said could happen by stubbing my toe. Disregarding all my previous diagnosis, her new diagnosis on me was: Degenerative Disk Disease & Severe Psychosis with a "possible" diagnosis of schizophrenic.

All of this and much more began 2 yr's after being implanted. My right breast hardened, so the p/s performed a Closed Capsulotomy. The next year the right implant hardened, so again the p/s performed another Closed Capsulotomy which didn't work and told me to come back next month (which I did), then he performed another Closed Capsulotomy which still didn't work and told me to come back again the next month (which I did), then he shot me with Cortisone and again performed another Closed Capsulotomy which still didn't work. He told me to take 4000 iu of vitamin E a day and come back in another month, but I got so sick - I never went back to him or any other p/s again. I learned to live with the pain and burning. Up until I had them explanted ( being still employed), all I could do was go to my job, come home, then straight to bed. I'm not much better than that right now.

My husband has a bad heart and so his working days are over and he's now receiving SSD, but it's just barely enough to keep our heads up out of the water. For some reason, Social Security has discounted letters from my Doctor's, yet I've seen six Social Security Doctor's - the last one saying, "I'm either not able to hold a job in the work environment or I'm an extremely good actress. Well, Social Security must think I'm and extremely good actress, 'cause they denied me again. Well, I'm now just too tired to fight them anymore. So, we had to file bankruptcy, live with my daughter, son-in-law and their four children for nine months (which ruined my relationship with her). Living now in low income apartment with certain individuals that are under the impression I may be faking my illnesses (wonder where that is coming from?). I have asked a couple of these amateur eye-spys (you know the kind, they follow you where ever you go, thinking they're being discreet), why are you doing this to me and they answer with the only answer they can give - "I don't know what you're talking about. This is a public area and I can go where I want." Then you walk into your apartment, just to find a stranger in it who says she's Maintenance, changing my filter - without any prior notice? Then one morning I woke up with some strange man standing in my apartment saying, "Hello, Hello, anybody home?" He just walked in to spray for bugs! I went to the Manager (for the second time) and told her, "I got the message. This is not my apartment, it belongs to anyone that has a key! But I'm here to tell you, I am not breaking any laws or committing fraud and if anyone thinks I am, then they should have me arrested or committed. Then my computer goes down and I call out a Tech who said I had two problems. My computer was attacked by a very bad virus and the hard drive in my computer had also been compromised, other than the virus. He asked me who was the last person to open my computer and I told him, if anyone had opened this computer to compromise my hard drive, it was without my knowledge or consent.

Meanwhile, I have forgotten what it feels like to live without pain, I'm always so tired I'm no longer a productive human being anymore. And I'm just to tired and sick to continue this fight for my SSD. Four years, that's along time. There's allot of other issues going on in my life, other than my health problems. Allot of hard work has gone into keeping me from being recognized as disabled and without that recognition, I won't be placed on the grid properly.

I guess I've given you more information than what you were asking for, but it would've been a more fair fight, if certain individuals would have come after me when I was well enough to hold my own ground, but instead they wait until my face is in the dirt (knowing I have no more fight left) and that's when they do their best stomping. My life has been destroyed, my health has extremely deteriorated, I have been stripped of all dignity and self-respect. And if I was to tell you how humiliated I've been, this writing would turn into a novel. How could anyone in their right mind, allow themselves to be put through this, unless that person has illnesses that completely changed their life as they once knew it.

Well, I guess I've kept you long enough, thank you for letting me vent, but for myself, I'm not the one that has Psych problems. Any day of the week, I can look myself in the mirror, knowing I haven't hurt anyone, lied to anyone, discredit anyone or destroy anyone's life.

Hugs........... C.

I've taken numerous tests! Nothing! I thought all along that it may have been the implants. Before that I would never even take a mid day nap! I even get a weird feeling in my throat. Here are my questions:1. Has anyone experienced these specific symptoms and can you tell me about them?2. Also, has anyone had their implants removed and had their symptoms disappear or are they still there? (Any symptoms not just the ones that I listed)3. What do your breasts look like after the implant removal? Thanks,Charlene

HI Patty,

Thanks for your story. I made an appointment with my plastic surgeon's

office to meet with him so I can discuss explanting the implants. Do you

know if this type of procedure is generally covered by health plans? Also,

I live in Canada have you heard of any good surgeons that do this surgery in

Canada particularly in Toronto? I was happy with my surgeon and he is

suppose to be one of the top breast surgeons but I would like to know how I

would get information on surgeons? Patty, have you heard of " dimpling "

being caused by explanting the implants? Also, any other information about

the surgery, length of time, how long it takes to recover, side effects

I'm glad I found this site and I have the support of really great people

like yourself. It's really great to know others have or are going through

the same thing as myself and that I'm not crazy.

Hi Charlene,

I think most of your other questions in the letter below have been answered

by now. As for the dimpling, yes, I have heard of it, but only with those

women who have a breast lift, and use the " donut hole " technique. This is

where some of the excess skin beyond the areola is cut out, and puckering

occurs from pulling up the surrounding skin back to the areola again. I

know one woman who had this done, and she complained a little about the

puckers, and was told that they would go away over time. I never heard back

from her if that was the case or not.

If you have already had somewhat of a lift before, I doubt that you would

need one again. Besides the donut hole technique has given way to more

superior techniques, such as the lollipop, which I am sure had,

didn't you ? I had the anchor technique, which left scars beneath my

breasts as well as vertically. The lollipop just leaves a vertical scar

which when faded, is hardly noticeable.

But, like I said, you probably don't have to worry about getting a breast

lift, and you certainly don't need to worry about puckers, unless the

surgeon just does a bad job of placing stitches. I don't think that will

happen, since you said the guy you have picked out has a pretty good

reputation.

Wow, ,

My heart aches each and every time I hear a story such as yours...and I hear them over and over again...so very sad.

I do hope that you can find some hope here for healing, encouragement through your ordeal, and friendship from all of us "sister" as we deal with our silicone affected bodies.

Love,

Patty

Subject: Re: risk of saline implants fatigue???anyone????

Hi Charlene, I haven't had Saline Implants, but for 12 1/2 yr's I had the Silicone Breast Implants.

Now, my social life are the support groups through my computer, trying (with my husbands help) to keep our apartment clean and that's it. I use a walker with a seat in it, if I'm going to be walking any distance and if I go to a grocery store with my husband to shop, I use their electric carts. If they don't have any available, then we leave. I use to go dancing every week-end, the zoo, camping. I could go on and on. I not only have to let go of what I use to do, I must except the way I am now, plus take the humiliation from Doctor's that choose to not recognize I have been chemically poisoned. The last Neurologist I saw ran some tests on me and concluded: She recognizes the Degenerative Disc Disease due to my recent MRI (but that's all); The spots in the white frontal lobe of my brain (two appearing to be demylination) are because I'm old (I'm 54 y.o.); The high Sed Rate of 68 (norm! al is between 0-20) she said could happen by stubbing my toe. Disregarding all my previous diagnosis, her new diagnosis on me was: Degenerative Disk Disease & Severe Psychosis with a "possible" diagnosis of schizophrenic. All of this and much more began 2 yr's after being implanted. My right breast hardened, so the p/s performed a Closed Capsulotomy. The next year the right implant hardened, so again the p/s performed another Closed Capsulotomy which didn't work and told me to come back next month (which I did), then he performed another Closed Capsulotomy which still didn't work and told me to come back again the next month (which I did), then he shot me with Cortisone and again performed another Closed Capsulotomy which still didn't work. He told me to take 4000 iu of vitamin E a day and come back in another month, but I got so sick - I never went back to him or any other p/s again. I learned to live with the pain and burning. Up until I had them explanted ( being still employed), all I could do was go to my job, come home, then straight to bed. I'm not much better than that right now. ! ;

I have asked a couple of these amateur eye-spys (you know the! kind, they follow you where ever you go, thinking they're being discreet), why are you doing this to me and they answer with the only answer they can give - "I don't know what you're talking about. My computer was attacked! by a very bad virus and the hard drive in my computer had also been c ompromised, other than the virus.

> Dear , It was painful to read your story, my love goes out to

you and your family. I had silicone implants from 1984 to 1994.

Unfortunately the PS didn't remove the scar capsules even tho one

implant had ruptured (he used a less graphic description...saying it

had leaked). Ever since explant I've struggled with my health not

with any doctors but with lots of alternative means...but never

linking my complaints to the implants. I just assumed I was getting

old and senile too early. I've spent a lot of time, money and energy

just trying to stay alive. A few weeks ago I went on line and thru a

series of websites finally got hooked up with Patty who has been

wonderful and who turned me on to this site. Thank goodness. I " m

getting ready to have surgery next week and have the scar tissue

removed. You mentioned that your silicone had migrated to your

abdoman. How did they find it? Dr Feng uses Ultrasound to locate the

silicone but she only does the chest cavity and lymph nodes under the

arms. Should I insist that they do move like maybe my whole body?

Also what about lymph nodes? What happens if they are involved?

My main complaints are extreme pain, lower right breast and sharp

pains in what seems to be random small points on my body especially

noticeable at night. They don't last long, but cause me to cry out.

Serious mental fog, difficulty concentrating, talking,

remembering--all which is very scarey. My hands, feet, and neck are

all failing me Lots of other problems I " ve had so long like alergies,

asthma, swollen glands in my neck that I;ve just learned to live with.

Anyway, enough about me. I look forward to hearing from you.

now receiving SSD, but it's just barely enough to keep our heads up

out of the water. For some reason, Social Security has discounted

letters from my Doctor's, yet I've seen six Social Security Doctor's -

the last one saying, " I'm either not able to hold a job in the work

environment or I'm an extremely good actress. Well, Social Security

must think I'm and extremely good actress, 'cause they denied me

again. Well, I'm now just too tired to fight them anymore. So, we

had to file bankruptcy, live with my daughter, son-in-law and their

four children for nine months (which ruined my relationship with her).

Living now in low income apartment with certain individuals that are

under the impression I may be faking my illnesses (wonder where that

is coming from?). I have asked a couple of these amateur eye-spys

(you know the kind, they follow you where ever you go, thinking

they're being discreet), why are you doing this to me and they answer

with the only answer they can give - " I don't know what you're talking

about. This is a public area and I can go where I want. " Then you

walk into your apartment, just to find a stranger in it who says she's

Maintenance, changing my filter - without any prior notice? Then one

morning I woke up with some strange man standing in my apartment

saying, " Hello, Hello, anybody home? " He just walked in to spray for

bugs! I went to the Manager (for the second time) and told her, " I

got the message. This is not my apartment, it belongs to anyone that

has a key! But I'm here to tell you, I am not breaking any laws or

committing fraud and if anyone thinks I am, then they should have me

arrested or committed. Then my computer goes down and I call out a

Tech who said I had two problems. My computer was attacked by a very

bad virus and the hard drive in my computer had also been compromised,

other than the virus. He asked me who was the last person to open my

computer and I told him, if anyone had opened this computer to

compromise my hard drive, it was without my knowledge or consent.

> Meanwhile, I have forgotten what it feels like to live without pain,

I'm always so tired I'm no longer a productive human being anymore.

And I'm just to tired and sick to continue this fight for my SSD.

Four years, that's along time. There's allot of other issues going on

in my life, other than my health problems. Allot of hard work has

gone into keeping me from being recognized as disabled and without

that recognition, I won't be placed on the grid properly.

> I guess I've given you more information than what you were asking

for, but it would've been a more fair fight, if certain individuals

would have come after me when I was well enough to hold my own ground,

but instead they wait until my face is in the dirt (knowing I have no

more fight left) and that's when they do their best stomping. My life

has been destroyed, my health has extremely deteriorated, I have been

stripped of all dignity and self-respect. And if I was to tell you

how humiliated I've been, this writing would turn into a novel. How

could anyone in their right mind, allow themselves to be put through

this, unless that person has illnesses that completely changed their

life as they once knew it.

> Well, I guess I've kept you long enough, thank you for letting me

day of the week, I can look myself in the mirror, knowing I haven't

hurt anyone, lied to anyone, discredit anyone or destroy anyone's

life.

Yes I had a capsulectomy and a lift, a lolipop lift to be exact and I

needed it cause my implants were big and I was saggy to start. Dr

Feng also did the en bloc procedure on me and I did not have huge

scars, well at first they looked really gross but now they are

invisible, my breasts look way better than they did before implants,

if it wasn't for the stretch marks I would say they are great, the

stretch marks are worse than my lift scars ha ha.

I think I had acheness for about 3 months but like I said I think my

body reacted so badly to the implants that I had allot of thick scar

tissue and inflammation inside so they were basically attached to my

rib cage, accounting for the pain I suffered.

You may not have as much pain......everyone is different, I am proud

to say that my pectoral muscles are finally normal again and I do

lots of weight lifting and I am seeing allot of increased stregnth

where I was weak before with and immediately after implants, so

things get better, I also am fortunate to have all my feeling back in

my breasts, all the numbness is gone, it took like 9 months!

Be patient and gentle with yourself and you will be fine!

Ask them for some versed if your nervous, that stuff is great! I had

some in my IV prior to explant and it was marvelous !!!!

HUGS..... :)

You are so lucky to have the feeling back in your breasts...and I am really

jealous of that!

I lost sensation in my nipples and I have numb areas in the lower quadrant

of my right breast (no feeling at all) , and some less numb areas, (but

still numb nevertheless) on my lower left breast. I am so extremely

disappointed about this, because I have always enjoyed the feelings in my

breasts. Not much I can do about it though, and if I haven't seen

improvement in three and a half years, it's not likely I ever will.

So, consider yourself lucky, very lucky.

Charlene,

My name is e, and I'm sorry I wasn't able to

respond to your post sooner, but I get home from work

late at night, and just don't have the time or energy to

log onto the computer. So, my emails must wait until

the wknd.

Your symptoms are very similar to mine and appeared

about the same time. It seems that most women

experience some type of dizziness and/or brain fog. For

whatever reason, I truly believe these implants have

affected and changed our immune systems permanently.

But you have only had yours in for a relatively short

period of time, so I would highly recommend that you

consider removing the implants. I had my implants in

for 4 1/2 yrs and I believe that I got them removed just

in time. Scientific analysis also supports this.

You will hear time and again two doctors names

mentioned. These are Drs Huang and Lu-Feng.

They are world renowned experts, and both are very

fastidious with their work. You may think that it is

not possible to travel any distance to get this surgery

done, but it is very possible. I am finding that more

and more insurance companies are authorizing the

surgery. However, there are some " mind games " you have

to play. You surely will want a good aesthetic result,

and these 2 doctors will provide you with the best

possible result, while at the same time being very

realistic.

If there are any questions I can answer, or if I can

help you with any insurance questions or medical

questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Charlene,

Yes and no in answer to your question. I felt better

immediately after explant. The horrible rash on my

chest and back went away, and my skin cleared up. I

continued to feel better through the spring, then

developed reactive airway disease and asthma. I felt

great all through August and most of Sept. Then in late

Sept, I started feeling sick again. Today, I am having

horrible pain, swelling in my fingers, lower legs,

ankles, and toes, and daily migraines. I am going off

all my meds except for Synthroid. Being a travel nurse,

I am not able to easily find docs willing to treat me

for short periods of time. So, I'm going to keep my

docs in Denver and fly back to Denver every 3 months to

see them, as I really do have an excellent team of docs

there.

So, as you can tell, I have been up and down with my

health problems. While I still have problems, I must

point out that they are nowhere near as severe as they

were with the implants. I am just so grateful that I

got the implants out when I did.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any other questions you

may have.

Hi Patty,

Thank you for your response. I am so far behind in answering my email, I don't know if I'll ever get caught up. I was sick for awhile so was unable to get on the computer, then my husband went into Respiratory Failure and ended up on life support, but he improved so much and so quickly, he is now off of all life support equipment (they even removed his oxygen today), he's out of ICU and (just maybe) will be sent home tomorrow. :-)

God is such a loving God! With all my husband and I have been through, I think the good Lord said "It's time those two had a break" and He showed mercy by not taking my husband home! The day the ambulance took my husband to the hospital, the staff didn't think he was going to make it, 'cause they asked me for my Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive - which my husband and I had drawn up for each other and notorized just a couple of weeks ago.

I keep telling people, "Our life here is so temporary. It's fragile, it's delicate, it's softer than a whisper and it's shorter than the memory you had "before" birth - compared to all Eternity." So why in the world does anyone want to waste one moment of it, inflicting pain on another human being. These people that have hurt my husband and I (due to this silicone issue), have not accomplished a damn thing, except to make fools of themselves. Oh, they've hurt us, don't get me wrong, but they've hurt themselves so much more.

Well, I have allot more I could say, but I won't. It's not important anymore. What's important is that my husband is still alive and even though we both know his body is giving out on him (he has lung disease, heart is at 15% ejection and there is a blood clot in one of the ventricles), we know that for each day we have with each other - that we are alive, is a gift - a true gift from God. And all He asks from us, is that we Believe!

Have a Blessed day Patty and thank you again for your kind words. I have found that the women in this support group are all so very unique. In spite of all their pain and heartache, each one is still there for the other. Through the darkness in my life, I have found the light of love in these special women, including yourself.

Hugs...........

Subject: Re: risk of saline implants fatigue???anyone????

Hi Charlene, I haven't had Saline Implants, but for 12 1/2 yr's I had the Silicone Breast Implants.

Now, my social life are the support groups through my computer, trying (with my husbands help) to keep our apartment clean and that's it. I use a walker with a seat in it, if I'm going to be walking any distance and if I go to a grocery store with my husband to shop, I use their electric carts. If they don't have any available, then we leave. I use to go dancing every week-end, the zoo, camping. I could go on and on. I not only have to let go of what I use to do, I must except the way I am now, plus take the humiliation from Doctor's that choose to not recognize I have been chemically poisoned. The last Neurologist I saw ran some tests on me and concluded: She recognizes the Degenerative Disc Disease due to my recent MRI (but that's all); The spots in the white frontal lobe of my brain (two appearing to be demylination) are because I'm old (I'm 54 y.o.); The high Sed Rate of 68 (norm! al is between 0-20) she said could happen by stubbing my toe. Disregarding all my previous diagnosis, her new diagnosis on me was: Degenerative Disk Disease & Severe Psychosis with a "possible" diagnosis of schizophrenic. All of this and much more began 2 yr's after being implanted. My right breast hardened, so the p/s performed a Closed Capsulotomy. The next year the right implant hardened, so again the p/s performed another Closed Capsulotomy which didn't work and told me to come back next month (which I did), then he performed another Closed Capsulotomy which still didn't work and told me to come back again the next month (which I did), then he shot me with Cortisone and again performed another Closed Capsulotomy which still didn't work. He told me to take 4000 iu of vitamin E a day and come back in another month, but I got so sick - I never went back to him or any other p/s again. I learned to live with the pain and burning. Up until I had them explanted ( being still employed), all I could do was go to my job, come home, then straight to bed. I'm not much better than that right now. ! ;

I have asked a couple of these amateur eye-spys (you know the! kind, they follow you where ever you go, thinking they're being discreet), why are you doing this to me and they answer with the only answer they can give - "I don't know what you're talking about. Then one morning I woke up with some strange man standing in my apartment saying, "Hello, Hello, anybody home?" He just walked in to spray for bugs!

About a year later, I started to experience fatigue but around that same time I started college so I thought the stress and workload from college was contributing to it.My fatigue has increased. For the last year it has almost been to a point where I want to sleep all day and do nothing. This really concerns me especially since it could not have been from the stress of school because I finished almost 6 months ago. In addition, the last 6 months I have experienced dizziness (really bad), a loss of concentration, and some headaches.I've been to the doctors, taken a catscan of the head. NOthing! I've taken numerous tests! Nothing! I thought all along that it may have been the implants. Before that I would never even take a mid day nap! I even get a weird feeling in m! y throat.
