You see, 10,000 lawsuits at $10,000 each claim is $100 million worth. Small actions are faster, higher success rate, good for the lawyer and at least some compensation for the victim.

This is not how the system works south of the border. No lawyer is going to file a $10,000 lawsuit against a Pharma. It would be more trouble than it was worth. And considering the amount of damage that these drugs, particularly Prozac, does to a person, that would be the equivalent to NO compensation to the victim. Hypothetically, if Lilly were to settle a $10,000 claim before it went to trial, the lawyers would take $4,000 plus costs. The victim would get pennies. Sorry, but this theory makes absolutely no sense. Eli Lilly has hundreds of lawyers that they pay a flat retainer to. All of these lawsuits are simply considered a "nuisance."

Glitter,

Just want to make sure you realize that I did not write the following:

" You see, 10,000 lawsuits at $10,000 each claim is $100 million

worth. Small actions are faster, higher success rate, good for the

lawyer and at least ... "

These were Tim's words, and his reasoning concerned me as well. I can

see you know far more than I do, and I agree with you 100%. The suit

against Prozac will need to be handled by several different large

firms working in unison with each other. Thousands, even tens of

thousands of individual lawsuits will never achieve our ultimate

goal... which is to strip Eli Lilly and place them naked before the

entire world to see!!!

Tim - although you are wrong here, you still have a lot of ideas which

I do agree with.. and I still think we need to " sting " them like a

bunch of mad hornets wherever we can find a vulnerable spot.
