What do you know that I don't??????? I swore I would fight until this poison was off the market. Are my dreams coming true????? Now listen to this. Yesterday I went to a grief session at the local Hospice. All women, about 7 of us, most had lost a husband, three of us had lost a parent. One woman admitted that she was still so distraught over her mother dying that she decided to take Prozac and had been on it for just a week. Another woman piped up and said, yes, 'she was also on a tranquilzer after her husband dropped dead in front of her 6 weeks ago and she started to explain to the other woman about how her serotonin level had plummeted and now she had this chemical imbalance and that the Prozac would fix that and the usual blah blah blah. I wasn't going to say anything, but I couldn't help myself, so I said, "be very careful about espousing that chemical imbalance theory -- it IS just a theory and all of these SSRI drugs have inherent side effects and risks." The other woman sho had lost her father then said, "you know, in the final days of my father's life when he knew he was dying, they said he was depressed and put him on Zoloft, and when he had a bad reaction to it, they said he needed more." Well, who wouldn't be depressed knowing they were dying??? Anyway, the woman on Prozac said she wasn't going ot take it anymore and the one who was doing the chemical imbalance blah blah said that her therapist, who used to be a psychiatric nurse at the local squirrel farm, said, oh, no, there IS a chemical imbalance, but was willing to listed to what I had to say at another session. Sheesh. These were just average people believing the bullshit.
