McMan's Depression and Bipolar Weekly

" Knowledge is necessity. "

Dear McManamy

Ref so called " Bi-Polarism "

For the record, I had been treated for anxiety states following the

need for radiation surgery to treat a physical illness.

Not that I am anxious about the clossness of my call, nor indeed

anxious about a reoccurence of the illness, nor indeed about the

need for further surgery or other forms of known & proven treatment.

No sir ..........the physical illness CAUSED the anxiety.

Too often in this world " bad medicine " interperts symptoms of mental

turmoil as rooted in TURMOIL OF THE MIND.

Still whats done is done, I was firstly treated with tranx, then

mooted by the benzo crisis i was shifted into new clean SSRI's.

For me all hell broke loose.

I went towards the utter depths of depression, I got swapped to a

different SSRI, I got hyped up. !!!!

You guessed it ..........yea I got diagnosed as Bi-Polar.

Nearly a decade after first taking Psyc meds they settled on a

diagnosis. But wait, there is worse to come.

Treatment further progressed and the combo of medications made me

epileptic.

Fully 9 years was I epileptic. Eventually I got wise.

I discovered that my treatment caused my illness ..........and bit

by bit I weaned off one class of Psyc drug after another.

It took me nearly a year.

I weaned off Lithium, I weaned off Effexor I weaned off Neurontin

and finally dropped the benzo's

I have not taken a Psyc med for over a year now, totally clean.

You know what Mr McManamy .........my diagnosis of Bi-polarism has

just been removed from my active medical notes. Moved into the

annals of history.

Yea I am the guy who WAS bi-polar. Yes , I'm cured.

You too can be cured too as you say in your appeal " This meant

learning on the job. .......... "

It is very obvious that you have much to learn.

I can point you towards a very good healing group, a group looking

at withdrawal from & recovery after psyc medication.

You can join this group ..........it's completely FREE.

Praps you will realise that your diagnosis is based in pseudo

science & quackery.

In the mean time please dont ask me for money, your right I'm

skint, stoney broke. I'm picking up the pieces of broken

relationships, broken homes lost jobs. I'm paying for adaptions to

help me live with the physical damage caused to the extremities of

my limbs .......damage to my peripheral nervous system.

But I'm one ahead of you .......I'm cured

The recent rampant emergence of Bi-Polarism, it's simply Iatrogenis

Dear ,

There is a lot of pain in your letter, and I am sorry for that. But

\there is a lot of passion for activism too, and that's great.

McMan is not NAMI, not Pharma, not the FDA, just a guy who

researches mental health treatments, alt treatments, and reports

on them even-handedly. He does not promote Pharma

treaHments and he is not the enemy, as you can see from the

titles/article links below.

Some patients choose to take drugs and contimue Pharma

treatment. Their biochem profile is not mine, or yours.

Much as we disapprove of their choice, it is their right to make it.
