I told her I was simply there to see the " public " notice of the JCAHO meeting.

That was a week ago Monday. A week ago Wednesday, I got 20 min with the 3

member JCAHO survey team (escorted by 2/3 of the available guard force);

got 5 min with them and 10 min of observation at his treatment review; and Art

was excluded from a JCAHO interview.

** Why was Art excluded? He's been involved with DY from early on **

Both Art and I were excluded because we didn't get our requests in on time. A

slot opened up magically for me, but Art didn't annoy them enough I guess. i

start out with Love, but if that doesn't work I go into the tough Love mode.

I also told Dan that what came out of the JCAHO survey is the possible

national fraud involved and that I was going to focus on higher levels than

just Read.

meaning what? Larger MH institutions? **

JCAHO FOR DUMMIES:

1. So you are running an institution that needs to be accredited, are you?

2. Send us $75,000 and we will schedule our team of an administrator, nurse,

and shrink to certify you.

3. Announce our arrival to the public 30 days in advance, but if you don't want

to at least put up a sign on our day of arrival so we can verify that you

complied.

4. Don't emphasize that we will talk to mere mortals, and we won't if they

don't get their requests in 5 days in advance. We realize that you can make a

reservation to fly anywhere in the world in a minute, but we need 5 days to make

arrangements for your 10 min interview.

5. If the person who wants to speak to us has a last name of Prior, tie up 2/3

of your guard force because we are afraid of the truth and what he might say.

6. Have all your staff sign up for graduate level courses the day before we

arrive. That way if a mouse runs through your " hospital " while we are there, we

can at least say that everyone available is going for a " PhD in Mouse Managment "

and give you an A+ for effort.

7. Almost forgot, it is hard for us to measure your effectiveness as a mental

health treatment facility when you have let's say a guy with a Masters in Math

on the same unit with 9 deaf people; so, say you want to be certified as a

hospital without any departments except psychiatry. This way it is easier for

us and you do want to be accredited don't you?

8. The above process may seem complicated, but it has been our little secret

for years. Please keep it that way. We love touring around the US staying

overnight at first class hotels and as long as Uncle Sam is happy with our work

we want to keep it this way.

9. If any of this sounds confusing to you, our " operators " are standing by 7/5.

Just call 1-800-JCAHO. We may be short a few digits on the phone number, but we

all make mistakes, don't we.

This might be a little heavy for Jim and Randy, but I can not believe the Lord

is using me to get this done. On top of all of this my church, Willow Creek,

has an elder who has labeled me with a " personality disorder " and I am very

close to being thrown out of the church. I have decided to go for biblical

counseling on my " problem " .

me for help with his PaxHELL 19 yr old girlfriend and all hell broke loose.

belt. If you think I could " take " him anywhere, I love you for your delusion.

Fortunately for me my two best friends (45 years) are in MA and NH; so, I

couldn't have had more support. With keys to each of their houses, you can

throw me out of anywhere.

they don't have to build another fence in his name (like at Elgin) they will

petition the judge to let him come to our house for a month and then he will

be free like a bird for the first time in his life at age 40.

The stated excuse is that the patients are on restricted diets (all drugs) and

already denying. Besides we wouldn't want anyone to be happy, when it is not

planned - a little happiness might throw off their serontin (spelling) levels

and these patients are chemically imbalanced.

I agreed to not take pictures with a camera. Too bad he doesn't realize I

wear a camera watch which his guards complimented me on once.

My visiting privileges to visit " only " have been restored including

special visits to attend his treatment reviews. At no time can i help any

other patients. I can not attend GROW meetings, but I am convinced that

although the concept is great they are also ripping off the state. Staying

over in a hotel to press the start button on a VCR for example. There is just

so much wrong with the system; it is hard to concentrate.

I agree with the concept of GROW, but Read puts so many restrictions on it that

it is ineffective. GROW rips off IL by getting an annual grant with no

accountability. A woman stayed overnight in a hotel in town to help another

woman press start on a VCR - guess what that costs the state? I understand the

head of GROW and DHS are tight. GROW gave me the ability to help people like

the 4 or 5 that I helped; so, now Wasmer and Company want to keep me out. Read

does not want the fragile personalities under their care to get exposed to

someone on the outside who doesn't believe in what they are doing.

I told him I never want to see Judy again and I may try to get her a

" better " job. Off the property if you know what I mean.

I heard Walmart has been abusing woman for years. I ws thinking of getting her

an application. She thrives on abuse.

I think JCAHO is ripe for the plucking. Treatment centers should never be

involuntary and JCAHO. Spoke to Oaks last night and he didn't know

anything about JCAHO. I can't believe no one has checked into it; even Rodney

wrote them a letter once but it was all about himself not generalized to all

of the Land of Lincoln and beyond. Chester is an accredited hospital too; so,

if you break your brain in Southern Illinois, I recommend that you check

yourself in. You won't come out the same after your " treatment " .

centers falsely accredited as " hospitals " revoked by 12/25/2004. I want to make

12/25/2003 the last day these treatment centers got a gift.
