Guest guest
Katy, we knew a Ron from here, in Utah, many, many yrs ago. Infact, he was the very first adult little person our family met. You know how new parents are, still not knowing what will happen, and wanting to see how your little one will grow up. If this is the same Ron , our family thinks the world of this Man. He is a marvelous person. If my memory serves me right, he married a woman from a European country, and they later moved there. She was just as wonderful as he. The greatest thing I remember about him was his smile and his positive attitude. He was a first grade teacher I believe, and handled those kids with the greatest of love and care I have ever seen in a teacher. I would love to get a hold of this book you mentioned. It would have to be full of some good information from a man such as himself. With love, Debi Hoggan *********************** Cherish yesterday. Guest guest
Hello Debie Hoggan & List: That's correct. Ron moved to Germany and worked within the education field on or near U.S. military bases. He and his spouse (AS I Remember) were a really great team working together. They were in LP terms a mixed marriage, Ron being short stature and his lovely bride average in height. Ron, where ever you are, I'd love to hear from you. Sincerely, Lee Gogin Debbie Hoggan wrote: > Katy, we knew a Ron from here, in Utah, many, many yrs > ago. Guest guest
My wife's surgeon is Dr. Darius Kohan. His office is in NYC, manhattan. Please e-mail if you would like the particulars. He was recommended to us by an ENT on Staten Island, where we live. In addition, others online have used Dr. Kohan and had only positive comments. So we are hoping all will go well. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have and I will do my best to answer based upon our experiences. Ron
Guest guest
Hey Ron! Who is her surgeon? You're probably using the insurance by your work company. I'm currently looking into Beth Israel. Let me know how it goes with your wife and beth israel. > My wife is currently a patient at Beth Israel. The audiologists are > excellent. Guest guest
OH RON I’m so sorry..YES let your wife take care of you. Thank Goodness she is there for you. It sounds like your wife knows what she is doing, too bad we couldn't say the same about your nurses at the hospital. Things will get better, you just need some gentle time for your E. Hang in there! The operation went without a problem. But from there it's been down hill. The first meal that was given to me consisted of regular cereal ( Corn Flakes) and a regular corn muffin with Milk and coffee. Lunch consisted of Meat Lasagna with red sause and bread and coffee. What where they thinking? After this I complained. And was given a menu. I chose fruit and yogurt. Yes fruit, thinking it would be bananas, applesauce and possibly soft canned pears. Instead they gave me pineapple. I thought they knew what they were doing so I ate some of it and it has been down hill ever since. That is when I pressed them to discharge me home. And left NYP Hospital at 5:00 p.m. on Friday night!! Thank god my wife is an RN and when we arrived home she immediately put a stop to any mechanical soft diet, put me on a clear liquid diet as soon as we left. I have taken two steps backwards. Ugh! Been on clear liquids for 48 hours. Will be progressing to full liquids only (per my wife!!) She says that she will be calling the doctor in the morning. Since the liquids, things have gotten somewhat better. Minor regurg maybe its related to the trauma to my E from the screw up at NY Presbyterian (dietary). Just major frustration for me right now. My wife believes that things will calm down. I can only pray. But no problems swallowing the liquids and no pain. Last week I couldn't tolerate anything. Now, I can only hope,... If anyone has or had any similar experiences I would like to know. The pureed needs to be very smooth with no bits that can damage the E. The dietician gave me heaps of ideas and there are lots of foods you can buy already pureed or just need and seive. I was recommended to have small snacks in between meals like pureed fruit, custard, yoghurt, drinking yoghurt, frucke, etc. I am not getting our meals and pureeing each food separately and putting on my plate. It has good protein levels and other goodies which we need. We can use it in food and to thicken or add it to juices to make smoothies. Skim though not normal powdered milk which has less protein. Guest guest
Ron, I am also very sorry to hear about the issues surrounding your surgery. I don’t understand what they are thinking. It certainly isn’t the fault of your nurses or the dietary staff – if your orders don’t reflect a liquid diet, than they may not know any better (although one would think the nurses would, since they have access to your chart and know they type of surgery you had, even if they aren’t familiar with Achalasia specifically). I find the whole thing rather odd, but the real bone to pick over the whole thing would be with your doctor, as he should have put orders in your chart for a liquid diet. Hope it all turns around for you, and thank goodness for your wife!! Guest guest
Hi all, I’ve been wondering for months why Ron hasn’t introduced a bill for no forced vaccinations. This is great. I will be praying he will be successful. Joni
