Guest guest
Hi , I had TMJ problems way before I had implant problems. It was about 10 years ago, and my jaw just kept popping and clicking and felt out of joint at times. I also felt like I could barely open my mouth wide enough to eat sometimes. I finally went to a specialist about it, and he was going to have an MRI of my jaw done, and was talking about surgery and all kinds of other horrible sounding stuff. I was stunned at the prospect. Then, (God was watching out for me!) I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, and that scrapped everything. I decided to wait it out. I could tell the doctor was very disappointed, but guess what? My TMJ problems resolved TOTALLY on their own. I didn't do anything different....I just waited it out, and over time, my jaw healed completely. I stretched it as far as I could...I don't know if that helped, but something helped it heal on its own. I hope that any of you with TMJ trouble are that lucky. I later found out the surgical implant that the doctor would have used was teflon and was a total nightmare in people's jaw as it disintegrated inside them and left them a mess. I was spared all that. My sympathies are with you. I hope you heal soon.
