Guest guest
Hello, My husband, who was told he is borderline-diabetic, uses aspartame to sweeten his tea. I've read that aspartame is not healthy. My questions: Does anyone use stevia? If so, is it any good? Is there a brand you can recommend? Any other alternatives to sweeten tea? Thanks so much, Becky
Guest guest
I use stevia that I buy in bulk at the health food store. It's not so good for baking but is fine for sweetening liquids or fruit-based desserts. You only need to use a speck of it at a time since it is very strong. There are also books on cooking with stevia available in health food stores. Guest guest
I like *SMARTESS* stevia it is a prebiotic and it is the best tasting , some are not that good. Manufactured by Guarani Botanicals, Inc. Liburn, GA. http://home.attbi.com/~nilesmelt/wsb/html/view.cgi-home.html-.html this is a address I just copied it. I also like just the ground leaf to cook with, the good stuff is expensive. ine in WA [, ine] -----Original Message----- From: beckylynnkirby [mailto:beckylynnkirby@...] Sent: Wednesday, May 29, 2002 9:55 PM Subject: Question on stevia Hello, My husband, who was told he is borderline-diabetic, uses aspartame to sweeten his tea.
