Somewhere I read 4 days did it. It usually is in the freezer longer as I buy

ahead and not take it out till needed. Thats in the chest freezer not fridge

freezer for colder freeze.

I four days enough? I'd love to put the flour in the freezer for a few days

when I get it home then into canning jars. As it is now I put it into canning

jars and end up with moths.

Robin,

It would depend on how long you will be keeping the flour. I sometimes

put mine in the fridge. I grind my own flour and try to use it fresh as

much as possible, but I usually have some leftover, which I then save to

use when I don't need very much at a time. I'm not really sure how long

it would be fine in the fridge versus the freezer. I have heard that

Vitamin E is destroyed when you freeze flour--I'm not sure how accurate

that is, but sometimes I figure it is better not to freeze it if I don't

have to.

Generally you want to freeze or refrigerate anything with oils in

it--like nuts, etc. Again, I think it depends on how long you will be

keeping it as to whether the fridge is fine or you should freeze it.
