Corrections

The online version of an article that appeared on Dec. 28 about teen brain

function made an incorrect statement about a research program called TeenScreen.

The TeenScreen program was developed by Columbia University in 1991. Its creator

said it was based on studies of teens who had committed suicide. The program is

not based on more recent research involving brain imaging, as was suggested in

the article.

National Public Radio says they're doing a piece on TeenScreen. It is

tentatively set for 8:20 AM Thursday. Stay tuned for firm time.

on TeenScreen.
