Guest guest
Of those who have acute Hep B, 10% become chronic. Many dont manifest any signs of acure Hep B esp those who get it at birth or in childhood. There are 400 million people with chronic Hep B in the World. Dr Sharat Misra MD, DM, FACG ----- Original Message ----- From: w.m.landstra HI.Now I get confused.Hep B a chronic disease, meaning that you never clear the virus?.I know quite a few people who had hep B and they.re all cured. In some cases the Hep B can become a chronic disease that.s what I.hve been told.I had Hep B,yellow as a lemon but the diease cleared and I was considered cured as far as the Hep B concerned. I can search the web but mabye a short answer from the group will suffice.Willem.

Guest guest
Hi all, Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry if I seem ignorant, but I have been told that there is no treatment for this disease, is this the same as chronic? I have'nt yet turned yellow, and as I said I feel fine. I only got to know I have this disease b'cos I donated blood. Is it true that there is no treatment, to remove this virus from my blood? PS - My problems and worries seem trivial to me even, compared to some others here in this list. But I think maybe, I can understand a little abt how u ppl feel. I pray to God for u all.
