Guest guest
My foot pain has beeen a constant part of my life now since 2 months after getting implants, never ever had a problem with any pain before that. It started really suddenly, with it being almost the entire foot underneath and even my toes hurt, I remember trying to figure out what on earth could cause this, I was swimming at the time and thought somehow I was hurting from this? Ha well time went by and it just got worse and worse, the arch and the heel and there were days I would have to go in the bathroom at work take off my shoes and rub my feet and cry and pray to god to just let me live another day it was so terrifiying, the brain fog was thick and bad and I had severe anxiety attacks at times too. Well, now the foot pain has gotten better to a point, and seems to have all moved to two spots on each foot, the back part of the hell, towads the ankle so actually not on the bottom part but just up as it curves, it feels so sore, my hubby rubs them for me everynight and it just baffles us both how come it hurts right there where there is no muscle or fat, just bone, it certainly could be a bone spur, but wouldn't you feel that? I don't understand why the pain would all just accumulate in this part of the body, it seems strange, also my hands are simiiar they have improved, in the beginning it was bad with some of my fingers aching so bad it drove me nuts and even one was totally numb, and then the pads of my hands below my thumbs hurt as well, really bad, almost the same pain I had in my feet, I found it to be strange, it was like all my extremeties were messed up, my head, my feet and my hands all painful, well my hands still hurt a little in the same part on the pads, and the heel thing, I do have general body aches, but those are more or less mild compared to the feet and hand thing and sometimes I feel they are mostly brought on by exercise than anything else, what a mystery this all is, how can breast implants affect such specific things as this, it is so confusing to me. I wish someone had the answers. Anyhow that is about it from me. I am learning the guitar right now and find that I don't have allot of stregnth in my fingers, which is making it tough, but I am determined to try to learn, my husband plays and is very good, so I want to try. Well any other ideas on the foot thing? I am thinking maybe acupuncture again, it helped but it was so expensive, eek. I go see a new rheumy on the 17th so maybe he will have some new insight, but I am not counting on it.
Guest guest
, Have you checked your health insurance to see if they cover acupuncture? Many insurance companies now include acupuncture and massage in their benefits. My experience is that most companies will allow 10 visits/yr and you pay the copay. The last 3 insurance companies I've had have all covered acupunture and massage. My current one covers them both, but only allows up to $1000/yr, but no copay each time. However, once I hit $1000, then I have no more alternative therapy benefits. Just a thought for you to check into your insurance and see just exactly what they offer. I also found that acupuncture helped me immensely with my foot pain, arthritic pain, back pain, and migraines. Also, when I had my sternal infection after my open heart surgery, and I just wouldn't heal (I had an open wnd that I was packing with nugauze 2x/day. The wnd was all the way down to my sternum) I had acupuncture needles placed around the wnd, and within 2 wks, the wnd was significantly closed and obviously healing. But I would recommend double checking your insurance. Also, if your insurance does not cover it, sometimes insurance companies will agree to pay for alternative therapies if it is recommended by a doctor. e > My foot pain has beeen a constant part of my life now since 2 months > after getting implants, never ever had a problem with any pain before > that. Guest guest
e I am going to check it out, my old insurance in CA didn't cover any alternative stuff which I thought was ridiculous seeing as how they were spending way more on my meds and MRI and all the other stuff then to just pay for the darn accupuncture. Iknow it works cause I had about 10 sessions of it when I was first getting sick from my implants, I can tell you that at that point I was so sick I couldn't even hardly walk a mile without feeling like colapsing and the accupuncture helped enough that I was able to contiunue to work and work out, I was sick but I always had that thing in me that kept me going, don't know how but I did, throughout my illness I never called in sick to work, (figured if I keeled over I was in the best place anyhow working in the ICU) ha ha, and also I think that attitude is almost as important if not more important than diet or detoxing or any of this stuff. anyhow that is my opinion on that ha ha In @y..., eRene@a... wrote: > , > > Have you checked your health insurance to see if they > cover acupuncture?
