I just quit Zoloft three weeks ago after being on 200 mg for three years, and

this was the best thing I have done for myself since starting it. I was

suffering

mild depression, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, and Zoloft did quell those, but

that's about all. Then came the significant weight gain of over 25 pounds, and

my inability to control my anger once I got started--I would not be able to calm

myself down.

Now I'm suffering the very real, and severe withdrawal symptoms. The

anxiety, the pain, the nausea, the " zaps, " numbness of the tongue and slurred

speech, swollen, painful gums, loss of balance, lack of clear thought,

especially late at night.

But, I feel just great without it. The withdrawal symptoms are largely gone,

thankfully, and I my memory has improved, my work drive has improved, I am

exercising harder than I ever could while on Zoloft, and I am just happier.

I am still in counseling, but I am so glad I decided to just quit Zoloft cold

turkey.

I decided to quit after waiting for a mailed prescription that was late in

coming,

and so I did some research on the drug and was shocked by how dangerous

it can be.

Doctors are not telling their patients the whole truth about these drugs, and I

am ready to be an advocate for those who oppose these companies. I am so

glad this group exists.
