Guest guest
" For example, in another post a few minutes back, I saw someone attribute the ugliness of some woman's child to the family's consumption of fruit, veggies, and grains. DOes this mean we should *not* eat these items at all, or only when slathered with a thick coating of lard? " The post you referred to was from me...here is my suggestion: peruse the Weston A. Price Foundation's website--there is TONS of information there. A FAQ would be good for this list as well, but I suggest you start at http://www.westonaprice.org/ first. BTW, although we don't generally support vegetarian diets here, there is a HUGE nutritional difference between a vegan diet (like the woman mentioned in my post) and a lacto-veggie diet. The main difference being that you consume animal products (in the form of eggs, milk, and cheese) that provide essential nutrients that vegans (no animal products whatsoever) lack in their diet. It sounds like you and your son are very active and healthy--I also like to keep in mind that there is no " perfect " diet. Everyone must find out what makes their body feel its best. Welcome, and enjoy the list--you certainly don't have to believe everything that is recommended, etc., but please do some research on what we're about--or just lurk for a while. p.s. most of us would advise you against smearing commercially-produced lard on anything--pigs are generally fed poorly and have junk in their fat. However, if you make your lard yourself (like Belinda), pig out!
