I'm with you, this Nor'easter is playing havoc on my spine today and tonight. You need to pace yourself when doing activities like you did,and you should get up and walk around at least every 1/2 hour. My Physical Therapist recommended every 15 minutes. But I'm the same way while it's better to be in a supportive chair at a table, I do a lot on the floor, or in bed. I'm here hurting with you 2-nite. Guest guest
Yeah - I really should have paced myself but just wanted to get this done. Can't tell my PT this - he would be giving me hell. Oh well - just got to slown it down a little and be more realistic. > > > > > >The end result is that I am extremely painful this evening between > >the lower back, hips and right knee which had an orthoscopy. > > > >It also does not help that we have had 4 days of straight rain and > >humidity in North Carolina - both hubby's and my back were hurting > >before I attempted any of the sorting today. > >Sorry folks just had to get this out there - wish me luck with any > >kind of sleep tonight please! > > I'm with you, this Nor'easter is playing havoc on my spine today and > tonight. Guest guest
I think my husband and I notice the difference too in the weather in MN when we go out west to the dryer climates. I used to never believe in that weather stuff/bones/joints, etc., but now....a whole different story. Rainey From: CrochetFerret <crochetferret@...> Subject: Just Hoping for Sleep Tonight neck pain Date: Friday, November 13, 2009, 9:57 PM  Although I am probably out of my mind I spent 4 hours on the floor this afternoon going thru older comics I am attempting to sell and categorizing them. It is rapidly turning into a major headache - never knew comic collectors were so damned picky - but that's another story. The end result is that I am extremely painful this evening between the lower back, hips and right knee which had an orthoscopy. It also does not help that we have had 4 days of straight rain and humidity in North Carolina - both hubby's and my back were hurting before I attempted any of the sorting today. Strangely enough we have disc degeneration in the same discs - l4, l5 and s1 - yet we experiene pain in different parts of the body. Yes I know that I should never have been down on the floor like that so long but I was using a cushion which usually does help. It is also the only place I had to do what needed to be done. Sorry folks just had to get this out there - wish me luck with any kind of sleep tonight please!

Guest guest
We had a nasty cold front come in today and I really felt it yesterday. I mopped in the morning and something went ping (or more like crack) in my lower back and that was the end of that day. Am in more pain now than usual so whatever happened don't suppose can be good. Have spent the day on the couch cooking the back with a heating pad but at least I got one of the sleeves finished on my daughters sweater. I used to be like the energiser bunny and it really sucks when you cant even mop.
